Well I already watch Chelsea, so Fulham would probably be a step up! Maybe watching Dulwich Hamlet too undoes some of the damage.

I thought London had turned you full Tory for a minute.
I heard he's started watching Fulham and is voting for Reform.

I mean the years running Dumbarton's man of the match on matchday, the 50/50 matchday draw and time spent on the Sons Trust board would kind of suggest otherwise. And you're a displaced Killie fan.
I am (also) a Killie fan, but I'm not displaced. I'm from Clydebank! Unless moving to Jamestown counts as displacement, in which case: guilty as charged.

Calvin Ramsay was out injured for a while then had loan spells at a good level with Preston North End and Bolton Wanderers during which he barely kicked a ball either. The notion he's 'kicking his heels' in Liverpool's youth set up is nonsense. Doak's been making fine progress through the levels at Liverpool and would have undoubtedly had significant first team exposure in the last 6 months if he'd not blown his knee up and been injured for the last 6 months. Another dreadful example.
It's early yet for the likes of Wilson and apparently Smith (confess I've never heard of him) to be condemned as lost in the youth set up. If boys are good enough, and luck y enough to remain relatively injury free they'll make it down South too.
Don't make the mistake of replying to BSF, he's a halfwit Rangers fan. We all stopped reading and responding to his posts ages ago. One of those "empty vessels making noise" types.

I don't think we need worry too much about the plastic team tenants. They'll have signed some St Pat's lads because Diamond was managing St Pat's before Broomhill. No big deal. They'll probably be lucky to survive as a club long enough to fulfil their lease with us, or will be off gallivanting again soon enough. Mildly irksome, yes, and not great for maintaining the pitch, but they're not worth getting riled up about.

Defensive cover and a player who's already well bedded in. I doubt he'll be a first choice when everyone is available.

Was it Ryan Stevenson that was part of the swap?

Gary Locke proving he is an absolute puddin as a manager. Not that he needed to as he'd already proved it at Killie, but he fancied plumbing even further depths at Raith.

Three good bits of business there with the addition, the re-signing and the sale. Happy Friday.

This can't be true, I've never seen you on the course.
That'll be because I don't play golf.

Anyone forking out £135 for a round of golf at Gleddoch? I think it's a really good idea, one that I was ready to jump at until I read the details. Surely arranging it at the golf club in our own town would be better for community engagement? I also appreciate it's a fundraiser for the club but asking folk to get a team of 3 together to pool £400 for a course that I can tee off at tomorrow for £35 seems a bit OTT to me.
Golf is for arseholes.

Blair Malcolm, talk to me.
Mainly played midfield enforcer for us, but can also play LB, left of a back three and central defender. Relatively quick, very physical and will tackle and do the dirty work all day. He's a bit too keen to charge into tackles and can be hot headed. He's a very limited passer of the ball, but makes up for that with aggression and work rate. He's a useful player for L2. The kind of guy you want on your team making the opposition shite themselves and making your ball players look good, but who'll get booke and give the ball away at times also. The type who probably needs to be starting every week in a settled role in a settled team to see the best of him. A Kevin Nicol type in some ways.

Great to have Ruth signed

This is what worries me most. I really hope we don’t put all our eggs in the Ruth / Gray / Orsi basket. Worst case scenario is that we wait around all summer for them, only to find out they’ve received a better offer and are offski - leaving us scrambling to replace our best three players.
Would like to think Faz already knows this though.
Recruitment is something Farrell and co are very good at, so I don't have any worried about how the squad will shape up.

Surely Ross McLean's contract is purely a formality/technicality and he'll be released from it? After all, isn't it that he's unable to play due to work?

A truly embarassing situation tbqhwy. I’m not remotely concerned about Dumbarton fans defecting to Broomhill but the principle of it all is an absolute minter for our board. In a town that can barely sustain one part-time football club our board have allowed another to swan in and start trying to poach our supporters/potential future supporters, what a shower of eejits.
I can’t imagine our neighbours at the Milburn are overly delighted about it either and I’d encourage any Sons fan who is thinking of taking in a Broomhill game when we’re away from home or have a free weekend to head there instead.
If anyone has a free weekend and wants to watch a non Dumbarton game, go to Bankies or Yoker. The club secretary of Vale is an absolute w****r.

It is fine, but I don’t think it warrants the heading BOARD STATEMENT. That usually implies that there is new information being offered.

Down at the stadium today and the new Trust director is busy making moves and being proactive in the background. The lad's doing good work behind the scenes.

A win for football. A loss for the type of people who use Instagram and go to Wayne Lineker's club on holiday. Lovely stuff.

Yeah, I remember going to Cowden for that draw, we had 6 or 7 supporters' buses there.
Jim Chapman winked at me after I shouted some encouragement towards our dugout.
I think the club put on 10 buses for Cowden. Plus everyone who made their own way. We outnumbered the home crowd about 3 to 1.

We took far more than 500 to Annan, Cowden, Airdrie, Celtic and Spartans. All of those were 4 figure attendances of Sons fans.

Just got home from the game. No voice left. Knackered. No words. Pouring a dram to toast the Sons of the Rock.

Niang not a player I'm familiar with, but positionally a sensible signing as he can reportedly play 8, 6 and 4. A couple of strikers now please.
