I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before we see some “be careful what you wish for” / “another manager may take us down” patter on the mental FB group.
Also, am I right in remembering there was quite a bit of talk of dressing room unrest come the end of last season?
The "dressing room unrest" at the end of last season was absolutely true. Confirmed to me by a player at regular intervals throughout last season.

God forbid we ever have a Mick Kennedy in charge.
If Hitler and Mick Kennedy were chained in front of me and I had a rifle with two rounds: I'd shoot Kennedy twice.

@Sweet Pete check this out
It fucking does taste like brown sauce. Brown sauce that's sat in flat, generic brown ale. Fucking diarrhea juice. Thank f**k the brewery gave me it for free as I'd be raging if I'd paid for it.

I can’t remember ever disliking a Sons manager more than Farrell. He really is a gobshite.
I personally disliked Gerry McCabe and Paul Martin more, but Farrell definitely has a combative style towards the support at times which isn't helpful.
I'd echo The Moonster's comment about it feeling like the season is winding down now. Like the wheels have come off and we'll just plod through the rest of the matches, going through the motions for 3 months to a top five finish.

We were absolutely chronic today. Team selection was all wrong and in the first half the players looked like they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing. We only started to play from around midway through the second half. Tony Wallace was a bright spark when he came on with plenty of good forward passes and he injected some life into Shiels and the strikers, but it was too little, too late. Defensively we were all over the shop and Broun is a clear weak link, he is not ready for this level at the moment and throwing him in at the deep end may stunt his development as well as costing us goals. A poor game for large parts generally, but we were particularly poor. You can't wait until 70 minutes and trailing to try and get started.

Even in the recent past we've seen what a not reliable goalkeeper can do. I really want it to work for Broun but this is giving me the fear
Kilmarnock's relegation season is a great, painful and recent advert for what happens to a team who run with a goalkeeper who's not good enough.

Not sure I've seen a single person on here say they're actually going. Better get my Palestine flag dry-cleaned.
Me. And Clarko. And our mates.

If that is true, Faz is doing himself absolutely no favours. It's almost like he wants to be up against it, so he has excuses if he fails to achieve objectives and targets.
Let's not start a baseless conspiracy theory.

Am I right in thinking the bar takes card?
It does. Though they only have one terminal for the whole place and shite WiFi.

Much less confident of a win in this weather.
If it goes ahead the weather will be a great leveller. It'll be a slobberknocker.

It's absolutely chucking it down in lush and leafy G83 about 5 miles from Alcatraz.

I've associated myself with the club for my whole life. Why would I stop now just because I don't like the decisions the people at the club are making? And again, stop exaggerating everything, a post on here doesn't mean I'm kicking f**k out the cat at home raging that their charging a tenner for parking.
Football is a hobby to you mate, that's cool. Dumbarton FC has been huge part of my life, I've made friends following the club (yourself included) and had some of the best days of my life. It matters to me, I want them to be doing the best they can and when I see things I don't agree with I'm going to say.
The club can do right, I've helped them out in the past when I felt there was a genuine effort from those in charge to engage and grow the club. There's f**k all of that now.
Two can play at exaggeration. You say there's no engagement with fans anymore. I've done a lot of work for the club and seen the effort that a handful of people put in to keeping the lights on each day. And the club routinely contact fans with new products, schemes, ideas etc. The club is completely approachable. I, too, feel pissed off by the property speculators and ghosts at ownership/shareholder/boardroom level, but that doesn't mean that every time someone gets a burnt pie it's a symptom of the club being rotten to the core. I challenge you to wander down to the Rock and offer to clean seats, mop changing rooms, paint walls, empty bins etc. you'll find friendly people who are delighted to have someone pitch in and help them with the almost herculean task of running the place. Try and remember that Hosie/Henning/Alan Martin/Whoever are not DFC. They're just suited wankers, they're not the club. Pick the right target.

Oh come on, your "we could win 4-0 every week" pish is something Aitkens Army hit out with at the slightest criticism. Just because folk are moaning on here doesn't mean anyone is outraged, it's simply an opinion that the club are calling this wrong. You don't care, that's all good and I hope you enjoy the day. I hope the club reinvest these incomings and we get out of this league this year because I really don't fancy it next year.
The same folk are ALWAYS moaning on here. It's tiresome. Take a look through my posting history and you'll see many posts criticizing the club in various ways, but only when I feel it's merited, not just whenever.
Perfect example, I posted on here some time ago (last season I think) that one of the players had called me on my mobile and tried to sell me corporate sponsorship as I'm a local small business owner. I thought that was cool and bought an advertising board for my business.
Someone whose name i forget but which rhymes with 'spoonster' then immediately replied "well that's an indication that the club isn't doing well and should have people for that and the players shouldn't be doing that".
The club really can do no right in some eyes.
I'd put it to you, why do you bother associating yourself with Dumbarton FC if they make you so unhappy? Even when they get things right.
It's bizarre.
Personally, I have real problems in my life and I reserve my whining for them. Football is a hobby, a leisure pursuit.

I've got no problem at all with the pricing of tickets, hospitality, parking et al. Milk the tie for all we can. There's a very small pool of Dumbarton fans to sell things to, so take advantage of the ****. And as for a "happy clap routine", maybe I'm just not a miserable c**t.

Bloody hell, Sons fans love a moan.
"I'm not going, but the parking prices are a disgrace!"
Damned if they do, damned if they don't. We could win every game 4 nil and there'd still be folk whining.
