  1. a minor thing. but people, who by way of agreement go, "isn't it just." or "isn't it" or ,"don't they just" or "doesn't it just". usually these people are sound in nearly every other respect. but YES YES it is! that's why I said it! don't answer me with a negative question!
  2. I'm fairly sure its R-O-W-A-N. you could start a thread and have a vote....
  3. oh dear. no. adequate -nice, pleasant- but nothing more. the comment re skinnyness is probably not how I would describe the flaws but there are flaws. and yes. I have many flaws before you start.
  4. I'd quite happily punch at least 3 of this bunch of waster kids Michel Roux seems to be training.
  5. on a similar line, Hendry is actually quite a good commentator! but he's on with John 'where's the white ball going! where's the white ball going! its not hitting it its getting it safe' Virgo and this is spoiling my enjoyment.
  6. I see. Made a rod for my own back there, should have been sufficient rather than no. fair enough. well played. excellent debating. I'm still right. And you're pestering is stopping me from doing more important things -well goaded.
  7. goading will do you no good at all. when I've got time I'll respond more. Gove is a Journo done good. he's never studied education. the changes that have been made thus far are ideologically driven. frankly at the moment my pttgoyn is you.
  8. I did say abolished. I'd quite happily have it reformed, as having seen the brochures for sinks first hand it was a little repetitive. edit: however, repetition is often preferred to crumbling infrastructure. I'm right re the other two points, but you're request for evidence is a little ill timed as I'm far toobusy to go data mining through google for it at the moment, give it a day or so. But I haven't forgotten -just in case you go ah, no evidence.
  9. that's an argument for reforming the qualification, not killing everything that you don't personally rate. you're point re the value of science to everyday life is a good one. its true and its integral to lesson planning science lessons, but its not a reason simply to give me money and not give the music department any. and the bit about being a cake expert through being naturally gifted is countermanded by; a) if you don't try it you wont know and b) bythis. however nothing you said answers the fundamental point that gove is an ideologically driven wealthy c**t with no knowledge or experience of education and is making policy simply on the basis of an I think style. This is best evidenced by his abolition of (not reform of) the schools building thing.
  10. relational databases? is it mapping one out? that is mind numbingly dull stuff. my sympathies.
  11. Ok so, how does Int 1 or 2 physics relate to black forest gateau or silver service. he's wrong. your humour is only encouraging him and drawing out his concession.
  12. how many scottish pupils go into catering -and yes that is ultimately where 'cake decoration' would end up if pursued- as opposed to a science?
  13. to you. the subjects of importance to others may well be different. thus killing the arts is hardly a fair move and I speak as one whose subject is core. the point re modern languages was Gove's. He tried to bring it in as the caller had him beaten all ends up. interlocutor was a twattish phase to use. Ooh look at me I know a long word. f**k off, you just show yourself to be a c**t. and you've resorted to using long words because you can't use the language of the common people.
  14. Five live education thingy 1. the caller does well. 2. Michael Gove shows himself, as usual. to be an utter c**t. 3. I see ITT in Scotland are to be tested on literacy, numeracy, and ICT. So basically Scotland are to be made to pass QTS, which England has already. I think this is a good thing. edit: 4. HBOS are another bunch of utter c***s.
  15. that sounds like a great day! basically only moving room once? and if the clock on here is right you appear to either be allowed to arrive after 9 or are on the internet at 8.30.
  16. does your ipod allow for a 'most listened too' playlist? this should cut out the dross. edit: should say my iphone allows this. and this was happening to me but it was including podcasts/itunes u lectures on architecture in its shuffle through my library that made me resort to figuring this out.
  17. careful. there's shite and then there's shite. make sure its the vaguely competent side of that line. rewriting essays when you're deep into a placement is hellish -been there.
  18. ah. see I saw the sitting up/vocal movement and assumed it might be some other kind of shower
  19. love the way they keep videoing her and don't go to help her despite it heading towards their house!
  20. 'first class' is what he said. newsnight don't seem to have the link -it was more than a week ago, this is regrettable. however he did use those words this is not in dispute. are they appropriate? having looked for a transcript myself, this is even better.
  21. do you have the transcript? the transcript rather than selective direct quotes. a proactive and visible minister rather than a doddery old fool who spouts 'first class' isn't a good thing? the forecasts thing has been debated to death. I and everyone else with windows and a tv have been proven right time and again. I tire of you trying to use one forecast which was anomalous to hang your whole argument that a 'first class' job was done, on. EVEN if I generously gave you that point -and I haven't, it has the decided stench of 'it wisnae me' about it- the performance should have been VASTLY superior to what it was. But then you didn't spend the night on the M74. You had the Caribbean micro climate of Stirling. I doubt victims such as Disco Duck feel quite so generous. What part incidentally of women and children and the vulnerable being stuck in an icy hell of a motorway and wanting it not to happen again is 'hysterical nonsense' and do you condone?
