  1. Apparently we are signing Jack McMillan on loan from you, talk to me, good for championship level, best position ?
    Thanks in advance.

Think he's mainly a right back but has played left back as well. Looked fairly decent but has never really had a proper run in the first team to be able to kick on. Was part of the defence in the shit-show against Dundee which turned out to be Mark Mcghee's last game but he was by no means the worst player that day.

Will probably do a job at Championship level and I'd imagine a run of games in a decent Livi side will do him good.
  2. I can't remember the last time a player was as universally disliked as much as Blyth - and not just for being pish at football. Even Samson had some sympathisers for a while.

I've disliked plenty of players for being pish but appreciated that they're probably nice guys so tried not to be too harsh. Blyth just seems an absolute c**t in every sense.

The only player that I can think of coming close is Calum Elliot who spent his time complaining about how hard life was living in Motherwell. And he was shite.
  3. Assessment of goalkeeper George Long who was on loan to you guys a while back and has signed on loan for AFC Wimbledon in L1?  Strengths and weaknesses and how does he compare to other keepers you have had in the last few years?
I see you had Connor Ripley a while back and obviously Russell Grifiths last season and this coming season. How would he measure up to them? I saw Ripley play for Oldham last season and he looked classy.
Reassure me that he's liable to be better than Craig Samson. :whistle
Thanks in advance. Be looking out yo see how you guys get on this season with your new signings particularly Craig Tanner who was at Wimbledon for a while.

Decent enough keeper when he was with us and would only imagine he's got better since. Probably not as good as Ripley but 80146291672581 times better than Samson.
  4. Folk that insist on taking their jackets off on a busy train when there's clearly no room to do so. If it's that warm outside, don't put your jacket on in the first place. Otherwise, i'm sure you can withstand the inferno of the train for 10 minutes until it's time to get off.

Also, folk that fight their way on to a busy train to get a seat only to then get off at the first stop and have to fight their way back through everyone again. Getting a seat genuinely doesn't bother me as I usually end up next to some fat smelly b*****d for my entire journey. Speaking of which, I got stuck next to some jakey cow the other week who had a plastic bag carrying f**k knows what. She insisted it was "mince and tatties" when it started leaking everywhere. One of the few times I've blatantly just stood up to go elsewhere on the train - a move which is only reserved for the biggest of c***s.

  5. One for me. 'Alright' or 'fine' usually covers it.

I dread asking her sometimes as I know I'm going to be subjected to a barrage of bullshit I really don't give a shit about.

Same here. Even though I couldn't care less about her day at work I've got into the habit of asking in order to avoid the lecture about how I don't take any interest in her life.
  6. She always wants to go out and do something just for the sake of doing it and it's always on a Saturday when I have the football. I think she knows my answer will always be no but just wants a reason to fall out with me.

Seen it mentioned already but she also insists on turning of all sockets before going out as if the appliance plugged into it will spontaneously combust as soon as we leave the house. I would also go along with the hair in the plughole which I've had the blame for despite her having long dark hair and me having short light hair.

She also watches hunners of shite telly and once she starts she becomes engrossed for weeks. At present I'm having to sit through episodes of DIY SOS which were first aired in 2006. Every. Single. Night.

Back on the theme of her wanting to fall our with me. We were once watching T In The Park highlights which showed a larger girl sitting on some guys shoulders. She made a comment and I made a laughing sound to acknowledge it. She then turned round to me with a look like thunder and says "that's a horrible thing to laugh at." WHIT?!

  7. I would say it's more to do with the fact that Milan don't actually have much money, at all. So being able to defer buying someone for two seasons is actually a really good idea.
I actually thinks it's pretty disappointing that co-ownership is on its way out as well, it actually seemed to balance the market really well as it was a sort of blind bid type thing, I think. Now they'll need to pay ridiculous fees, and wasn't the idea of co-ownership to protect team finances? It also meant that players like Domenico Berardi still got to play football for Sass, and wasn't languishing on Juve's bench, for example.

Haven't Milan been taken over by Chinese investors and are loaded now?
  8. Hammell and Lasley are in the team because they are still the best players in those roles - despite loads of players coming in to challenge them.  If they hadn't been there and we'd had another Joe Chalmers or Craig Clay we may well have been down this season.
Pearson played a big part in dragging us away from the bottom of the league last year to get us what will probably be our last Top 6 spot for a good while. Didn't do much this time but that's all in retrospect.  Do you think better options were queuing up to join us at the winter transfer window?
Were we better with or without McManus?  Obvious answer.  Look at how Ben Heneghan completely disintegrated as a player when he didn't have an experienced centre half to play next to.
Ainsworth - Frustrating player but hardly the reason for our poor season.
What we need is a stronger squad that can absorb the kind of injury problems we had this season.  The guys that came in weren't good enough.

Was just about to say more or less the same thing. The players mentioned are the best we have in those positions and while they've been involved in the recent relegation battles, they were also key players when we were "best of the rest".
