I'd rather deal with Arnold Clark than Peter Vardy.
My Astra's timing belt went, it had a lifetime warranty and was told to bring it in, got no offer of a pick up from them. So I had to arrange for it to be towed from A side road where I had to push it to and leave it at after it broke on the jeanfield Road.
Got told it would be a couple of days. After one week they told me it would be another week but they sorted me a rental car. What they didn't tell me was I had to pay all deposits for this myself as they had forgotten to pay it and left me standing at the rental place arguing with the people. Then when they told me the car was fixed I went to get it and it hadn't been valeted, was covered in stour and I found a Big Mac box under the drivers seat that hadn't previously been there.
It broke down again a week later because they hadn't refitted something correctly and tried to charge me for it. After that debacle I got rid of my Astra within a week.
This.
I've also got an Astra. Had it in for its MOT and it came out with the engine making a squealing noise. Not sure if they had done something to one of the belts but the noise wasn't there before it went in. Argued with them for days until they eventually fixed it.
When I was checking to see exactly what the noise was I noticed they hadn't even refitted the engine cover properly - simple stuff I'd have thought.0 -
That's the club tweeting that Louis Laing's time at Notts County is officially over.
I'd imagine we'd be looking to ship him out but not sure where. If it was up to me I'd keep him. Thought he looked decent enough at right back when he played there towards the end of last season so would be useful back up in the event Tait were to get injured / suspended. In my opinion, he's also a better backup option than Kennedy at centre back.0 -
If you fancy the Umi Z, you'll pick one up at Gearbest for £176 just now in their flash sale. It ends in 6 days though.
Had a wee look at that and was tempted. Only reason I didn't is because I've still got 3 months on my current contract so the phone wouldn't be getting used and something else might take my fancy in that time.0 -
Have been keeping an eye on this thread for a few months and Chinese phones definitely seem the way to go.
Currently got a Galaxy S6 and my contract is up in April. Been paying £41.00 a month for the last 2 years and after the novelty of having a new phone wears off it really doesn't seem worth it.
Been doing a bit of research and if I was going to buy a phone just now then it would probably be the Umi Z. The Xiaomi Mi Mix also looks cracking but is expensive to buy outright. Will be keeping an eye out to see if anything else comes out within the next couple of months but does anyone have any recommendations?0 -
As much as I enjoy Soccer Saturday, part of the entertainment is that the pundits are thick as shit. Therefore, Charlie and his pals comments don't bother me in the slightest.

"Barca begged Toral to stay."
I'm sure they were kicking themselves as Toral (who?) was turning out for European giants such as Brentford and Birmingham. Meanwhile, Barca had to make do with Xavi and Iniesta.

Dynamite. Cheers.
To expand on that, he looked decent enough when he first came through and was playing in a team finishing in the top 2/3. When things got tough under Baraclough he hid and was beyond useless. One of his last games for us was at Partick Thistle which we had to win to have any hopes of avoiding the play offs and he got himself sent off - presumably to let folk know that he did still exist.0 -
Stuart Carswell any good? Just signed for the Sons.
Absolutely pish.0 -
Going by his Twitter account and shite haircut, Dom Thomas seems like a wee p***k.

Everyone should follow @SimpsonsQOTD on Twitter if they don't already.

Carlos Tevez is being linked with a move to China as well. £615,000.00 a week apparently.

Have been giving this a chance but got to the 4th episode and had to switch it off when Jimmy Carr got "killed". It was mildly funny the first time but I can't believe they're still persisting with it.
The film in the second or third episode when they were supposed to be soldiers was absolutely pointless. The latest "challenge" of building sustainable cars was just daft and far too scripted. They used to do challenges on Top Gear and, although they were also daft, they sort of related to cars (e.g. the electric car they built). Who the f**k is going to build a car out of trees or bricks or bones?!
I watched an episode of Top Gear on Dave the other day (the one where they did the British Leyland challenge) and the difference between that and the rubbish they're making now is night and day. I took out a free trial with Amazon Prime with the idea being that I would start the full membership if the Grand Tour turned out to be decent. Needless to say, that won't be happening.
In summary : shite.0 -
I've never been able to tell the difference between Darrel King and Chris Jack.

3-0 Inter 20 minutes in. Perisic just missed a great chance for a fourth.

"I'm alive! And I owe it all to this feisty feline!"
"Dad, feline means 'cat'."
"Elephant, honey, it's an elephant. And I'm sure he'll make a graaaaand piano!"
"Here's the keys!"
"Elephants don't have keys."
"I'll keep these then."0 -
Chalminho has actually been half decent this season. Fair play to him.

@Marvinjohnson28 set to sign for @OUFCOfficial after @motherwell accepted a hugely improved offer.
Scott burns who is usually accurate
ETA: I like the sound of "hugely"
He's also said he expects us to bring a couple in. There's the link with the guy from West Ham but no idea who the other could be.0 -
I have no problem with him looking for a move but I wonder what sort of reception he would get if he stayed. Particularly from some of the morons in the East Stand.

I would take big Tony Straker before Chalmers every day of the week.

I know the tweet about him actually having signed has been debunked as a wind up but the Nottingham Post is linking Laing with a move to Notts County (the story went up before the other guy's tweet). http://www.nottinghampost.com/is-former-nottingham-forest-defender-louis-laing-on-his-way-back-to-notts-county/story-29618526-detail/story.html
Erm...aye:
Confirmed that he's joined them on loan until January.0 -
Not a completely random match, as such, but went to Man City v Sunderland yesterday.
The Etihad is a cracking stadium but the atmosphere was terrible. If the Sunderland fans weren't there the place would have been silent. There was also a fair amount of empty seats and I expected more to be going on given it was Guardiola's first game.0 -
Has any Chinese team actually said they want to sign Vieri?
With the money kicking about out there now you'd think the teams would set their sights higher than a guy who has been retired for 6/7 years.0 -
Never like to predict our games but would be nice to get a few goals and a clean sheet.
Is Moult likely to play or is that him away for surgery now? No disrespect to East Stirling but would be a good game for the likes of Blyth to get himself a couple of goals.0 -
Wouldn't be surprised to see a few more end up at Oldham. Ainsworth possibly? Although I see he's playing again today so maybe we do intend to keep him.
Wouldn't be the worst thing if Oldham were to sign Joe Chalmers...0

I say this every time his name comes up but I don't think Tony Straker is quite as bad as he's made out to be. I've heard he had a nightmare against Dundee that season but I missed that game so can comment and, at that time, the whole team was shite.
My nomination is the bold Jake Taylor. He goes into the category of "I'm actually raging at how shite you are." Honorable mention for Stuart Carswell who goes into the same category.
