  1. Well done Dundee. Sore one for us, being 17 points clear after 20 games. Jeezo, 17 points. I'm away for a greet.
  2. I was really sad to hear the news. Very unexpected. I only wish the Hamilton Accies chairman had shown the same integrity as Turnbull. Last season's challenge cup win was very fitting and I'm sure he loved every single minute of it.
  3. Anyone seen how much weight he put on while at the Indian side? Bit of a bloater. Hopefully he's a bit trimmer now.
  4. As a nod to Accies past, Dougie Imrie still says this in every game.
  5. If 13% of Rangers fans are voting Yes then we are definitely winning this! There was even one pictured protesting outside the BBC yesterday.
  6. This Road to the Final stuff is fucking brutal. What's he chalking on a bloody wall? Flashing lights, blink and you miss the goals, contrast appaling, f**k me a 6 year old could do better.
  7. The sods will go out in the Group Stage just to spite us! Actually I genuinely think this will happen.
  8. I've kept a note of many of these votes at schools and colleges. Gleaned from twitter where admittedly it's mostly fellow yessers I follow and who post these things so I'm maybe not seeing any info on debates and polls where No has won, but anyway... Dornoch Academy in February had 234 out of their 276 pupils vote in a mock referendum. Yes - 58.9%, No - 41.1% Again in February, a before and after debate poll from QM Uni. Before Yes - 59%, No - 41%; After Yes - 71%, No - 21%, DK - 8% 12/3 Glasgow Schools Debate. Yes - 64%, No - 15%, DK - 21% GCU Students Assoc debate, before and after. Yes - 54%, No - 20%, DK - 26%; Yes - 62%, No - 18%, DK - 20% And finally, Celtic Huddleboard, 490 out of 531 Yes (92.3%)
  9. Another huge Yes victory to report in a mock referendum at Dundee & Angus college on Wednesday. Yes - 64.57% No - 35.43%
  10. Debate today at James Hamilton Academy, Kilmarnock. Before debate: Yes - 35% No - 42% DK - 23% Afterwards: Yes - 61% No - 39% DK - 0% Odd that there were no don't knows after the debate but good to see yet another school debate that swings overwhelmingly to Yes once the arguments have been heard.
  11. From the Financial Times last week - "Although Scotland enjoys public spending well above the UK average - a source of resentment among some in England, Wales and NI - the cost to the Treasury is more than outweighed by oil and gas revenues from Scottish waters". Less than 5% of the population of Norway, Denmark and Finland live in poverty. In the UK, 12.8% of population is in poverty, 25% of children and in Springburn, Glasgow, 51% of children are living in poverty. This for a country that has oil and gas in abundance, with potentially more to be discovered off the West Coast, which cannot be explored while we have Trident. Norway is also second in the world for global wealth and global happiness. The Human Development Index, the closest thing to a league table of the world's best countries, ranks nations on factors such as generous welfare payments, education, high income and a long life expectancy. In 2013, for the 10th time in the last 12 years, oil rich Norway topped the list. We will kiss goodbye to the bedroom tax, which Westminster this week failed to end and the abomination that is ATOS. We will not be obliged to send our young men and woman to every skirmish that takes Westminster's fancy. We will never again be told what we can and can't do by horrible little c***s like George Osbourne. I could have saved myself some time, couldn't I?
  12. Aye, just a matter of time before the mighty Gers are back at the top, winning the league, lording it over all of us and in the Champions League. Who said that again?
  13. OK, that's fine. I think we deserve it. They take our oil and fritter it away. No rainy day fund for them. Time for Scotland, if we are a proper nation and not just hanging on coat-tails, to manage it ourselves and if we f**k it up we'll only have ourselves to blame. Maybe check out the west coast waters too when Trident is long gone, you never know your Donald Duck.
  14. A very informative article highlighting the different approach in Norway to their oil good fortune. Even if Reynard's figures are not in any way skewed, I'm not going to cry about being subsidised by a bunch of incompetents that can't manage the greatest resource a country could wish for, especially given the lies we were fed about it's lifespan. I'm damn sure an independent Scotland will put that money to good use for future generations. http://archive.is/cqvda.
  15. Have a read at that Derek Bateman article and also the Wings Over Scotland Join the Dots article. Might help push you along.
  16. 15% of "Rangers" fans want independence, that's hugely encouraging, I thought it would be about 2%.
  17. Yes, David, Gideon and chums will agree to that if they get in again and we vote No. If we f**k this up, hell mend us.
  18. I read on twitter that there are kids in Glasgow getting their Christmas meal this year from a food bank. We have 98.8% of the UK's oil and we tolerate this? Do they have food banks in Norway?
  19. I know McNamara is trying to be cautious with him and not burn him out, but you have to think United might have taken care of Celtic and not been hanging on had he played last week and not sat on the bench for the full 90.
  20. Exhibit A: Mr C Eriksen of Denmark, capped a month after turning 18. If ever a country needed to fast track it's best young talent it's us. It's like that Seinfeld episode, lets just do The Opposite of what we normally do, as that just hasn't been working.
