  1. One of the main problems I thought yesterday was that we rely a lot on goodie to hold the ball up and bring others into play. Against league one opponents he can general use his skill, body position, etc to keep a hold of the ball but yesterday Jullien robbed him easily on a number of occasions. Just playing against a better, sharper, more intelligent level of CB, which he hasn’t done for a number of years now.
  2. Only utter c***s sing those songs at sporting events but if you think that’s on a par with revelling in the actions of the ira then you are a moron.
  3. The holocaust is over 70 years ago, is it now fair game to sing songs glorifying that? Or would the people who found that offensive be the ones in the wrong?
  4. I think you boys win that at a canter too, same as the match.
  5. Like an approach from Celtic?
  6. Hopefully the wind doesn’t blow the stench of the Celtic fans over the home end
  7. Sky bet offering 6/1 for first goal to be from outside the box. With today’s conditions that’s a more than likely shout. ETA: no goal scorer odds for davie Mitchell though
  8. Disgusting to see fellow Clyde fans itching to shop interlopers to the stewards. That’s not how we do things, let’s kick their c***s in old style instead. [emoji23] As for the match it will be shite and anything under 5-0 is probably not bad. League absolute priority over this game.
  9. It’s not stopped Hamilton getting to the premier league.
  10. Hopefully Celtic play their highly rated youngsters so we can give the gaffer a run out whilst skooshing it through. [emoji41]
  11. It might not be overly ambitious but being another club stringing along in the lower reaches of the SPFL will become increasingly difficult over the next 10-20 years. Look at where Berwick are now, sunk without trace in the bottom half of the lowland league, whilst cove are already flying high on their debut season. I suspect many other clubs will disappear over the next years and won’t quickly return. Peterhead (and Clyde) will be doing well to keep themselves away from that.
  12. Quitongo and McCabe have a decent pedigree, if they are training with us could def be worth a punt till the end of the season.
  13. I think that was a poor choice of words from that poster but labelling someone a rapist on a basis of likely rather than proven doesn’t sit right with me. An earlier poster asked what Clyde fans felt about the situation but there’s no point in discussing it further as it’s all been covered before and it’s impossible to say anything other than he’s a rapist without being shouted down as some kind of rape apologist by mouthpieces on here. As for the repeated what if it was your daughter/sister comments, maybe consider what if that was your brother/son/friend being accused. Would you not want more scrutiny than ‘aye they probably did it.’ The 3 main questions for me are: 1- is it appropriate to judge a crime of the severity of rape in a civil court with no burden of proof? 2- why was this particular case pursued in this manner? 3- why have many more cases not been pursued in this manner?
  14. That doesn’t imply she was asking for it, what I’m saying is they were all very drunk and poor decisions were made all round. They shared a taxi with her pal on the way home, she tried to get the woman to leave with her and she refused wanting to stay with Goodwillie and Roberson. Again a poor decision. I think it’s highly likely that across the country on any given weekend people who are both drunk have sex together or do things they regret. It’s a bit of a minefield and not as clear cut as most vigilantes on here are suggesting.
  15. I’m not saying that anywhere though am I? Try reading again.
  16. Based on probabilities rather than hard evidence. Not proven beyond reasonable doubt, the fact that someone can be labelled a rapist via a civil court rather than a criminal court is contentious at best. If you bother reading the details of the case you would find that Goodwillie, Robertson and the woman were in each others company and drinking together for many hours in the lead up to the incident. It’s not like he was sober and preying on some vulnerable person. They were all hammered and there was nothing to suggest what happened wasn’t consensual, until the next day at least. It’s a controversial case, with a lot of grey areas and by the letter of the law with the woman being inebriated you can see why on balance of probability the civil court made its decision (rightly or wrongly). I also see people slamming Goodwillie for showing no remorse but he has appealed the decision and clearly believes (again rightly or wrongly) that he is innocent. Why would he then admit remorse?
  17. Hutton loves dishing it out but can’t take it. Horrible little turd with a massive chip on his shoulder. Was glorious seeing him and your shithouse number 6 losing it at the end.
  18. Surprised to read above that Duffie was injured. Is he genuinely made of plasticine?
  19. If money is so tight why did we gamble on giving Rankin a new deal. He must be one of our highest earners and hasn’t kicked a ball yet. By the time he is back up to speed most of the season will be done and will he play on for another? Harsh perhaps but a major waste of resources so far.
  20. Really hope we can find a bit of form before the cup tie or we are in real danger of an embarrassing exit. We have plenty of players that can play a nice game on a good surface when given the opportunity to do so. But on a horrendous surface against a physical team that will turn it into a battle I don’t fancy us. We are soft as shite and will probably result to pumping long balls. Could be another Stranraer away.
  21. Greta van Fleet gig at the O2 academy on weds. Anyone going? Anyone got a spare ticket?
  22. Away games on heavy grass parks have been a bit of an Achilles heel for us. Doesn’t suit our passing style and forces us more into hoofball territory. With that in mind any kind of win today would be fantastic.
