  1. I don’t think anyone who said that is looking a bit silly - look at the coefficient compared to England and Spain. You could name about a dozen players who’ve been jettisoned from the Barclays for being too old/not good enough who are now starting for top teams in Italy.
  2. Nah, having one of the best players in the league in their team is the reason for Arsenal faltering IMO. In actual fact they just have nowhere near the strength in depth of City - the loss to injury of Saliba has been massive, whereas City have players like Laporte sitting on the bench. Arsenal also have one of the youngest squads in the league and therefore lacking in experience (also an inexperienced manager).
  3. Yes but as I stated, they’re only further in the tournament than Bayern & Chelsea because they were fortunate enough to play teams from the Portuguese league and a distinctly average Spurs - in a normal year group runners up would not typically have as easy a path to the semis. The Milan teams are nothing special at all, and have greatly benefitted from many of the usual suspects being drawn against each other earlier on in the tournament - Real Madrid have already knocked out Chelsea (who beat Dortmund) & Liverpool, Bayern knocked out PSG & City have beaten Bayern. Both Milan teams are decent but it’s been the above special circumstances this year that have allowed them to progress to the semis. It doesn’t signal some kind of renaissance of Serie A as Europe’s top league as it was previously.
  4. Don’t really agree with this at all. Napoli had looked half decent prior to this round of fixtures but neither of the Milan clubs have looked anything special IMO. As soon as they play a non-farmer team like City or Madrid they’ll get pumped out. Inter & AC Milan were slapped about in the group stages by Bayern & Chelsea respectively and then got relatively easy draws through to the semis. Serie A probably improved a bit but still nowhere near ‘back to its best’ sadly.
  5. Any St Johnstone fan who is in Livingston today has my utmost respect. f**k that.
  6. Up there with lining up dozens of pairs of hideously coloured/patterned Doc Martens on your stairs to take a pic for P&B, IMO.
  7. Letting your bird by your clothes for you is an embarrassment.
  8. Stone Island Ghost/Shadow Project, Norse Projects & Uniqlo. New Balance trainers. You don’t need anything else.
  9. I thought Satoshi was that JTS oddball who flounced off in a huff saying he was off to the beach.
  10. Since when are we portraying Neil Lennon being volleyed in the face as a negative? That’s not a world I want to be a part of.
  11. Bebo was quality, my pal made me a flashing ‘skin’ and you could blast your own tunes at whoever opened your page. Make your top of 16 and it was top tier. I imagine some wee geeks were furious, but thems the breaks when you don’t get any ‘luvs’.
  12. Disappointed in the result but also won £200 because Aberdeen won so overall I’d rank that as a neutral.
  13. There are definitely a few - examples being Jamie Maclaren, Kenny Dougall, Jackson Irvine. Any that would actually make our squad though? Nah.
  14. These vigilante cyclists are usually correct in what they’re saying and yet they still somehow manage to make me hope that the nearest gammon runs them over.
  15. The fellow Covid warriors in his replies are always big fatties. You’d think if they were so concerned about their health then they’d hit a treadmill once in a while.
  16. I can’t get enough of his Twitter feed Desperately testing every day to try and get a glorious second line on his LFT. edit: the parentheses
  17. Your man GordonS - one of the most unhinged posters to grace The Forum in recent years.
  18. One positive for me is Drey Wright’s been pretty decent since he came back. I wasn’t that keen on his return at all but he’s been almost player of the season tbh. There are a few good players in the squad to work with - I feel with a competent manager we can get rid of some of the deadwood and build a decent side around the likes of Phillips. Never happening with Davidson.
