What would you have done with your wee flag had you not scored the last minute goal? -

In years to come Schofield will be coming out with the turboshandy ‘eyebrows were certainly raised’ patter. The nonce-apologist earlier in this thread is also lucky he got off relatively lightly. -

I’ve seen some clips from the Harry Styles concert at Murrayfield this weekend. It genuinely looks like hell on earth. -

I’d like to see Ange leave Celtic and manage in the Barclays. Preferably he’ll leave in the most devastating manner possible, such as leaving them high and dry the day prior to the season opener, or the day after declaring his undying love and devotion to the club. That will pave the way nicely for the return of old popcorn teeth. -

If I ever want to know the age of consent for any given country, my first port of call would be a middle aged white man who has emigrated to SE Asia.- 564 replies

It’s the OG version, still an old man shoe. -

They’ve been an extremely popular trainer among girls for years as Meghan and Kate have been seen wearing them. I think my gf has three pairs in varying colours of ‘V’. Amusingly I’ve been told that the Adidas Samba is the new ‘in’ shoe for girls this summer, despite it being the traditional realm of the Scottish Da for decades. Spotted my sister rocking a pair of Spezials the other day which was also a bit bizarre to see. -
Yeah it’s a big shame, but amateur football is struggling in most regions. There’s also been a lack of refs in Perthshire. I don’t see any way back to the peak days of four divisions - there are too many other competing pursuits & it takes a lot of effort to organise a club and maintain a pitch which many people aren’t as willing to do anymore. A lot of the pitches of the clubs you highlighted simply aren’t in a usable state anymore, such as Murray Royal. A move to Saturday mornings might help somewhat, with more council maintained/provided pitches. Of the teams you mention, Bridge of Earn have moved to Fife, Vale of Atholl are still kicking about but having difficulty fielding a team, Wolfhill now play in Guildtown, but the rest are all gone. Strathearn Grove were the other Crieff team & there’s Balmoral & FC Romania in Blair still.

Cheers, good to see some new teams entering the league. Would definitely be better with two leagues of 12 if possible. Hopefully the teams down the bottom of the second like VoA & Abernethy keep at it. I don’t think second is a foregone conclusion for Balmoral as they have a couple of tough games and are three points behind. Letham are a young side, it’ll be good to see them stick together and hopefully progress next season.

VoE win the league for the first time in their history. With the two teams in abeyance does this mean only two go up from the second? Letham CC to stay up despite losing every match? If that’s the case it looks like a straight shoot out between Balmoral & Stanley for the second promotion spot. It looks like there’s a new team entering the league system in ‘Methven AFC’. Heard of any other potential new sides?

Brilliant end to the season for Scone.

Just the language you use and the way you constantly ramble on about him is enough evidence to show me you have a strange bias against him. Apparently he’s just an ‘average-good’ player but Watkins and McGinn are ‘excellent performers’. The reason I picked those two players was because I chose the midfielder and forward who had played the most games for Villa in the season before Grealish left, in order to contrast them with the quality of KDB & Haaland. It’s night and day, really. Man City are pushing for a potential treble this season with Grealish as a key player, so I’m not sure anyone will be overly bothered they didn’t sign Kvaratskhelia instead. They could have both if they wanted. -

Dutch fans quite often seem to behave like complete tits. Pleasing to see about 50 of the wee fannies battered by one big fatty. -

Took him time to adapt to playing in Pep’s system alongside star players like KDB & Haaland, as opposed to being the main man in a Dean Smith side with McGinn & Watkins. Not that unsurprising really. -

I was previously indifferent to Grealz, but seeing the pain every good performance causes Satoshi I’ve now changed my mind and am up on my feet screaming ‘COME ON JACK’ whenever he gets the ball, punching the air at every goal or assist. -
It was voted on via a Twitter poll in fairness. The turnaround in Scone has been tremendous, although not sure that merits manager of the ‘season’.
