  1. Giving away free tickets isn’t necessarily a mistake. Plenty of clubs who can’t fill their stadiums do it - are Livingston, St Johnstone etc. devaluing their ‘events’ by giving free tickets away to school kids in the local area? I’m sure it’s how many people, including myself, initially started supporting these clubs.

I think that the free tickets need to be targeted at local schools, at girls youth football teams - things like that, in order to spark an interest in the women’s national team from a young age. SSC members should get discounted tickets but I find it hard to believe that thousands of them were firing on for a free ticket and then not turning up anyway. Regardless, anyone who wanted to attend last night, could have.

I think Kettins will finish second in the first. In the second I think Stanley will win it. Honestly aside from Breadalbane winning the league I can’t see any other big shocks tbh!

Imagining a poster on here becoming really famous before a spectacular cancellation, front page news, BBC documentary etc because they found all his posts on here saying 'wid' and 'boot her in the pie'.

Kenneth Williams gifs as evidence of their sex crazed, perverted mind.

It’s a slippery slope. One day you’re saying ‘wid’ and the next you’re lamenting ‘eyebrows being raised’ when you’re picking your 16 yo girlfriend up from school.

    Ian Flaherty, aye.

The guy who sat on WyScout one night watching videos, used that to claim he'd been to 5+ countries looking for a striker, then sanctioned us paying a fee for Nicky Clark.

Type of guy who you see in casinos gambling themselves into debt because some randoms are at the same table egging them on.

😂 I actually met the bold ‘Flax’ recently and he seemed alright.

  5. On the positive side we’re still in a very good financial position. On the other hand we’ve blown a ton of cash with very little reward. With that level of expenditure you’d expect some sort of return. What did they base the budget on? Were the forecasts based on us winning the double again and having sell out crowds every game? Or did someone just think, f**k it, sanction everything and everyone?

Ah, I didn't realise that, they must have strenghtened in that case as I thought last season wasn't the greatest for them?

Think they finished 5th in the end but had a strong finish to the season. Potentially signed some players from Ballinluig, who folded, but I’m unsure. I saw they won 10-1 at the weekend there.

I do think it would be a great addition to the pyramid to have a team based in the area and the park & general facilities rival some Midlands League clubs. Certainly better than Letham’s IMO.

Cupar Hearts is outside our area, not sure if Breadalbane are currently interested as they aren't exactly flying high in the Perthshire AFA.

Breadalbane are top of the league with a +26 goal difference after 4 games?

See no evidence Arsenal are trying to get shot of Tierney at all.

What I saw online, could be bollocks, was that Arteta was very keen for him to stay as he could thrive in a new 3 at the back formation he wants to use next season.

The news reports a few weeks ago was that Arteta was desperate for him to stay.

We have a new system where 500 "Hibs first" members get early access to away tickets. After those are taken up it will be a scramble for the remaining tickets between STH's. We will get roughly 3k tickets so loads will miss out.

Also not confident about getting through tonight so it is a moot point.

Cheers, appreciate that. I’ve an elderly relative who expressed an interest in going but looks like the chances might be faint (attends every home game but zero away).

He definitely has. It probably sounds strange coming from someone who has just seen his team win 0-7 there while we lost there last season, but they are much better now. Tonight was one of those nights that everything worked out for us, by far our best performance of the season (while last season's defeat was the exact opposite). Obviously I'm delighted with what I saw from us and definitely won't complain, but Scone are much stronger than that scoreline suggests and they will pick up a decent amount of points from the "lesser" teams in the division.

Aye it’s been a difficult run of fixtures to start the season but draws with Tayport and East Craigie are very good results for a young side. No shame in losing to Lochee who will be up there come the end of the season. It would be good to see Scone finish above Letham, but midtable generally would be excellent progress from being the whipping boys of the league.

Obviously prepared to be proved wrong but that Liverpool team looks significantly better than Chelseas, who have me wondering where all that money went....

Winner gets Caicedo would make this more interesting.....

I think Liverpool look decent this season. They needed to refresh the midfield & the signings they’ve made in that department look really good - Caicedo would be another solid addition, even if the price is absolutely mental. Reckon they’ll get second this year.
