I think the Ireland performance is being over praised. They weren't technically better, better organised or more effective than Scotland. They got a scrappy goal after sloppy Scotland play handed them a counter attacking opportunity and a corner. They had a second similar counter at 1-1 and couldn't score. Other than that they created next to nothing despite all that pace they supposedly had. Scotland dominated the ball, particularly in the last hour. They created enough chances to win and more besides. They also played a game a few days previous while Ireland were getting massages and resting up. I don't think you can ask Che Adams to do what he did against Ukraine three times in a week so it made sense to go with Dykes for this one.

Christie is so poor. Should've been a lot more cards for the Irish hatchet men though. Ref is weak.

Shouldn't be losing to 9 men, but glad to be out of the tournament. Not sure why we threw all our starters on at the end. An unnecessary gamble.

What makes you think only one game will be postponed? Logically it will be the next three weekends and all midweek domestic games in-between.

This is a big part of the problem. We're inevitably going to lose games to the weather and to the World Cup. There's no reason at all to add to the problem by not playing on a weekend when we're able to.

It's well established that football shows respect for people who've died via a minute's silence or applause. Not by postponing games. It's hard enough to get all the fixtures played once the weather turns without adding another unnecessarily.

With no free matchdays before the world cup it would be a ludicrous decision to postpone any fixtures.

Interested to see if/how they work Abildgaard in to the midfield. Obviously no need for a big defensive midfielder domestically, but they can't just save him for Europe. Given that O'Riley and Hatate only have enough puff for half a match each I guess they can just get those two to job share one of the midfield spots and move McGregor up one when Abildgaard plays.

Hatate and McGregor are doing well, but they're not getting as many guys forward as often as they usually do. Guess that's inevitable. Think Madrid might ease away, but what do I know?
