I loved Stainrods wee tricks, he'd have his back to a defender, put the ball one way but turn the other way himself leaving the defender for dead. Beautiful And he did this mad thing where it looked like he was going to control the ball with his chest but he'd duck down and let the ball skelp over his head then he'd turn the baffled defender and scurry off with the ball. Remember him scoring at Broomfield where the ball broke to him with just Martin to beat, I reckon every other player on Earth would have ran on towards goal to close the distance but he just fucking smacked it from where he was, a fucking belter, and then off to try a somersault. Hero.

I only stood there once, by accident, for a game against Airdrie (I didn't realise the upper main stand and lower main stand had separate turnstyles) Anyhoo, Alex McDonald, I think it was, took absolute pelters, started reacting and was finally sent to the stand by the ref - he was in the papers bleating about the fans behind him for days afterwards. Does anyone know what happens to individual player points bets in basketball if that player doesnt play? For instance, if I bet a player doesn't score over a certain number of points and he doesn't play at all is the bet voided?

FWIW I just finished Erebus by Micheal Palin and thought it was excellent. I had a vague understanding of the story but skipped the forward as I had a feeling it would give a fair bit away and having gone back to it on completion I found it did. They found Terror two years after they found Erebus.

I can render your arguement null and void by pointing out that it was an episode of 'Bargain Hunt' that triggered me.

Similarly, well kinda anyhoo - I was fair enjoying 'Homeland' a few years back and there was a spell where we couldn't be sure if a main character was alive or dead - this particular storyline carried on for a few episodes before Netflix used his face in the graphic for the next episode !
