You obviously didn’t listen to the interview.  He also said in it you would never get a Glasgow or Manchester derby first game of the season and why was that?
Gordon’s point was the league should be helping every club maximise revenue which I agree he has a point.  I also believe it was try to be deflecting and he should also remember before going into a tirade over fixtures and money that sacking Jack Ross and brining in Maloney imo cost us another home derby last season and a game at home against either Celtic or Rangers.

I’m out now before the heads gone comments start appearing which would kind of be ironic considering my recent past  have a nice afternoon at Golden Gary’s testimonial- for his sake I hope it pishes it down ;)

    It didn't. Very pleasant afternoon.

(And yes I know what you meant. )

Allowances are made because their support can’t behave themselves then?  That’s automatically unfair to the rest of the leagues teams - for example we wouldn’t have both Glasgow clubs on maximum points from day one if they had to play against each other and give other clubs a more competitive game to do so.  It would also mean tv companies not got wasting two TV games in one weekend meaning a blackout for another important game or derby at the away ground one of the clubs was sent to.

It’s right to question these decisions instead of going oh well it’s always been the same.

I presume Ron can implement all these changes for the greater good now he's an SPFL board member.

So because it’s just happened as normal or before we shouldn’t question the logic behind it because it doesn’t effect the club you support?  I don’t agree with Gordon, I’ve said in the posts before I don’t but I can see his logic and we should all be part of the league that helps other sides make as much revenue as possible.

Again, why is it never Celtic v Rangers first game of the season? What’s the logic behind them being kept apart next week for instance?  No European games, nada but we all know it’s never going to happen. Why not?

It does affect the club I support,  or would if we had the early season bounce in crowds Hibs have in Gordonworld.

I don't disagree we should be maximising crowds as far as possible but someone has to have a big game in the first two weeks.

Which it shouldn’t be.  Like Celtic and Rangers is never ever one of the first games of the season.

Except when it is as pointed out earlier

I can think of a number of times it's been the first or second game of the season,  as it happens mainly at Tynecastle.

I also don't remember him being greatly concerned about clubs at home making nothing off a crowd last Boxing Day.

Of course that didn't affect Hibs in his tiny mind so wouldn't contravene whatever principle he thinks he's standing up for.

Cool.  Never once said we have a right to anything either - said I could see where Gordon was coming from and the League should be helping every club make as much money as possible, nothing just to do with Hibernian.

Compensate RC then would be my suggestion or accommodate and assist a trip to Perth.   Basically do everything possible to help all clubs make as much as possible.

All of this misses the point that the first Edinburgh Derby of the season is usually one of the first games.

I’ve had a scan through the last few pages but can’t see an answer to this - what’s the latest with the stadium & is there any indication of what the capacity will be for the game against us on 6th August?

A couple of hundred I think.

That's the club's communication policy summed up in two sentences...

That is a good point , I had never considered that a Hearts fan and potential walk up supporter would have an issue cheering on 4 or 5 Hibs players at Meadowbank. Cammy Logan did well for City at the end of last season, hopefully he will get a run out at Tynecastle this season and prove what he can do.

It's not just the number  of loan players they might have.

If they're overtly aligning themselves with Hibs they can GTF

Think this is the final straw for me after the last few weeks. Might aswell re-name us the Hibs B team.

Why try to market us as an alternative to the two larger Edinburgh clubs, then attach ourselves so publicly to one of them?

It is odd. I doubt there would have been much difficulty in arranging loans from either of the bigger Edinburgh clubs.

I hope there will be now.

Speaking as someone who's quite local and would have gone to the odd game at Meadowbank,  that won't be happening now.

As you say if the idea is to market as an alternative why align yourself with one?

Similarly you've probably alienated a chunk of people who might have gone along.

The website is a bit amateurish to put it mildly.  When you click on images entitled 'Our HIstory' and 'Our Community' there is no content.

The 'How to get there*' section is a bit of a minter.  It shows a map which shows "Meadowbank Stadium railway station", which was only a thing in 1986.  The information in relation to buses is crap too.

    *surely 'How to  get here"?

Would a blank history page not be about right?

There seems to be no end to odd developments in relation to Meadowbank.  There used to be 3 East Coast buses which called at the stops nearest to the stadium - the 104, 113 and 124.  It appears that the 104 has joined the choir invisible, and the 113 and 124 now only stop at Meadowbank House and Abbeyhill.

Not a big deal in the great scheme of things, but it does seem a bit odd that just at the point that footfall will increase at certain stops the powers that be reduce the number of buses that stop there 🤔  Maybe the thinking is that we are a nation of fatties and it's a good thing that those coming in from parts of East Lothian to use the facilities should walk a bit further too.

Any Arbroath fans looking in and travelling by train looking in should note that their best bet is to catch a 26 or 44 opposite Waverley Steps if they want to catch a bus which stops at the magnificent new stadium.

It's part of a plan to make things easier for folk travelling from East Lothian.

It probably took them longer to get from Musselburgh into Edinburgh than the rest given the buses stopped everywhere.

TBF Meadowbank House isn't far from the stadium and is near the pubs.

      Reveal hidden contents

Fucking hell it's gotten dark! Very enjoyable though and I blasted through the episodes.
EZ's heel turn was something and mental that he's now el presidente. Him killing Gabby sealed his descent and I think he 'died' that night. That episode was another credibility stretching chuckle mind. Three guys shooting up a hospital, caught on camera multiple times with multiple witnesses and nothing happens. Not as silly as the season opener mind, which I noted in my previous post as being ridiculous.
Disappointed Galindo is back. Don't like the character. He's a daft whiny wee bitch. Emily is a silly boot too.
Taza had the right idea by fucking off, especially since his mess helped kick off the war.
That junkie who tourtured Coco being a Son was an odd reveal.
Marcus played himself by getting EZ to read the book
EZ's pal from prison grossly underestimated things and paid the price.
Will Nestor be kept on as a prospect now that Marcus is gone? Will he want to?
Who set fire the heroin at the end? Marcus? Angel?!
    Soundtrack has improved a lot.

As with SoA, there's a lot of smoking. These guys love a cigarette! Also most of them have the emotional maturity of a child. A whole load a manchildren. Again, as with SoA, greed is the ultimate downfall of so many. You'd think some of them might realise it, but they're either too blind or too stupid to get it.

What are you watching this on? Id read it was on Disney but they only have upto season 3 and can't find it anywhere else.

I've watched a few episodes on kodi. I'm not sure if it's on officially here.

It works in the Scillies… 😉

What we need is major reform. We should learn from American Football and Ozzie Rules on how to make the game much more competitive. Struck by how many of those who watch lower league football how completely uninterested they are in the top flight because it’s so utterly predictable.

I don't see how that would work in Scotland,  or across football as a whole.

The other thing is fans tend to be in favour if it appears to benefit their club.

Not so much if it might for example increase the possibility of relegation.

Can't ever say I've noticed him being biased towards his club, Aberdeen.

Oh, you mean him favoring Scotland, on Radio Scotland covering a Scottish International game?

    OIP.OCJQo1fVVcgS5HYacVrH0gHaEK?pid=ImgDe

I mean him carrying certain incidents over into club games.

And ignoring similar behaviour from Scottish players.

You wouldn't necessarily know he was an Aberdeen fan,  except when he banged on about it, but it was clear there were clubs he didn't like.

Heading towards time for changing the manager but let's not pretend anyone else will get any better out this shower of shite players.

We've been shite for 20 odd years under countless managers, fluked a visit to the euros...but we are shite. Should just accept it

He doesn't have to pick those particular players though

    Hanley for example.
