I wouldn't hold any great hope of the club honouring it Owen, Mike had no interest when it was the tenth anniversary. I don't think there will ever be another final to natch that one. My voice was gone by the end of it.

Have to agree with that. I only got to 7 or 8 games last season but for the most part it was like watching paint dry at home. Very few goals scored and mainly relying on set pieces.

It's only a fiver to get into the cinema in Stirling nowadays. There's no real point in moaning about the cup pricing at the Recs as it won't change. Though these games are just glorified friendlies at this time of the season.

Probably the same folk that burned their other scarf when Maurice Johnston signed for Rangers. Not the usual type of Mulraney appointment but here's hoping he's picked well again. That and he has 5 or 6 players lined up to give the squad depth and competition for places.

More than Hartley and Goodwin though. Also played at a good level and galvanised a truly honking Wee Rovers last season. Whether he is on Mike's list is anyone's guess, but a better choice than a few of the names suggested.

He's still not proved himself in that aspect of management. His signing record with Alloa was average at best with a large number of squad fillers. The current team is still 2/3rd's the great Jack Ross ' s signings. Wish him all the best, but nowhere near as good as Ross and Hendrie when you pinched them from us.

1. Hartley - took over a relegated team with only one injured player on the books and everything after that was magic. 2. Ross - if only we had him longer. Inherited Lennon 's mess and in one summer built a great team that set the club record for wins and remain the bulk of the current team. 3. Goodwin - good coach that has improved season on season. However his signing record isn't the best, so interesting how he does at St Mirren as he isn't inheriting a great squad. 4. Smith - well he did manage the Sevco and Hibs wins. Apart from that he was rubbish. 5. Lennon - signed a squad that almost matched Pat McAulay 's in 1995.

And won the first 10 matches of the season with a squad that had been assembled over the summer. Ross and Hartley were fantastic team builders.

Think he is the first signing of Goodwin's to sign a second contract under him, yet absolutely no reason why. He was just used to fill the subs bench for most of the season.

To be honest most of our current team was signed by Jack Ross, so I wouldn't fear losing Goodwin too much. None of his signings have ever been given a second contract so far. Arbroath have Colin Hamilton in defence, that's got to be a goal start to every opponent.

The thing that stands out to me is that the nucleus of that squad were all with the club prior to Goodwin taking over. Is there any of his signings over the previous season and a half still on the books? The policy of taking on so many loan players last season might have got us up via the lottery that is the playoffs, but it was always going to leave us with a hell of a lot of strengthening to be done over the summer to be competitive in a much tougher league. So far the squad is nowhere near big enough and looks weaker than the one we went up with. We are nowhere near as bad as Brechin, but a couple of bad injuries and it could be a very sore season.

£17. Think I'll give it a miss! The good old "price increase for promotions, price freeze for relegations" policy is still in force then. We'll probably be the most expensive tie to watch tonight.

Keeping the horrendous badge also doesn't help. I've not bought a single thing with it on it, yet have a shelf full of older strips.

Don"t forget those two against the 2nd biggest team in Scotland in the cup though. To be fair that season we struggled for the majority of it and Liam Buchanan was absolutely outstanding. Spence was pretty much benched for the 2nd half of the season. Any striker that manages double figures for us next season will be very welcome.

Greig Spence who just over a year ago left us after scoring a hattrick in the play - off final and scoring around 25 goals that season isn't worth going for? Will there be many other strikers going part time this summer that are better? Brechin had Issaac Layne in the Championship this season and he is well above his level, as well as still being young, always done well with us (knows the nucleas of the current team) and has played a few seasons in the Championship. Jim seems to prefer target men up front, but Spence would be a decent addition to the team.

The big difference was it was the bottom league and Hartley is a brilliant manager. How many of last summer's new faces have been a success this season? The only player signed over the last 18 months that has established himself as a regular has been Fleming. Regardless of tomorrow's result it's going to be a huge test of Goodwin 's management ability over the summer having to replace half a squad.

We will need to beg clubs to retain most of the squad. Half of it is gone after Sunday night. Parry to Airdrie is a rumour I heard.

To think today is the first anniversary of us winning our tenth consecutive game under Jack Ross. Impossible act to follow, but Goodwin's selections, tactics and signings have been poor. A man who spent his career with teams battling relegation, so he'll feel more comfortable this season.

It's been the club's way for the last 3 or 4 years now. The fact that crowds for cup games have been significantly lower doesn't seem to matter. They even charged £16 against Cove last year.

Pretty much what I thought, a bit meh really. The away day highlight is the first game in Dingwall. Plus when your derby day match is Queens Park you almost miss the Binos. Albeit mainly for the 12 points they guarantee us.
