This is objectively very funny.

This is a 10/10 riddy performance from Silva. Great stuff.

Anyone taking a tally of Fabio Silva pretending to be injured whenever he loses the ball? Think I’m on 3 so far.
The definition of powderpuff.

I genuinely can't tell anything from the video shown - which foot has Muirhead used to stand on Lanes? Both feet are 'near' Kane, but I can't actually see contact.
Ref was closer, so MAY have had a better look at it.
Also, why does Kane then jump about 5 feet to his left then fall over?
Doesn't really matter in the scheme of things, but I'd be laughing if we got that.
Really? He quite clearly stands on Kane’s right foot as the ball is rolling in to Kane.
I do agree there’s probably an unnecessarily theatrical reaction after the contact, but there definitely is contact and if we had VAR that’s a penalty 100% of the time.

Aye that's a penalty.
Is O'Reilly injured?
Yes, O’Reilly has been injured pretty much entirely since he signed. Due back soon according to Doolan, but he was apparently going to be back for the Caley game last weekend the last time we heard anything, so who knows.
And yeah, definite penalty when you see that back. I can see why people would think it was soft in a live viewing, because it would be easy to miss Muirhead standing on Kane’s foot in real time.

Good turn out from the Pars fans today.
I know we normally announce tickets sold and it looks a bit daft when many don't turn up, but looked a healthy number of bums on seats today. 5500 is superb for a middling Championship side. More than Kilmarnock had today and they are flying in the top division.
Agreed, and fair play for a very decent turnout. Our last game at EEP was announced as just under 5k but it looked closer to 3k that day.
Today was a much healthier home end in terms of actual numbers in attendance.

On Facebook, the Thistle description was something like - Kane falls over, ref awards penalty.
Very on brand for our social media output, that. Nothing is ever our team’s fault.

It's getting too close to call, but here we go.
Brechin City will beat EK in the playoffs.
Brechin City will beat Clyde in the final.
Anyone else?
They wouldn’t have to beat anyone else. EK and Clyde would be enough.

Just as well he quoted a post talking about surnames then.

It's certainly a last chance situation and after getting thumped on our last visit, I'm still on edge. Will there be a cash gate for the away fans like me who remains stubbornly non digital!
“Stubbornly non-digital” is an interesting self-categorisation for someone who has racked up thousands of posts on an online football forum.

I thought he played there against Morton too?
That could be a post game brain-fart tbf.
I wasn’t sure about Morton as I missed that game, so you may very well be right.

No goals conceded in the 90 minutes since Macbeth went to central defence.
180+ mins now. He played there at Arbroath as well.

Anyone know where @jagfox has disappeared to? He seems to have been missing for a couple of months.
I’m sure I saw him getting knocked back from Gayfield on Saturday for being too pished.
Which means I think the bold jagfox is absolutely fine.

20 points of DU gaining OR Raith losing.
Do tell.
Wait, so Raith dropping points equates to United “gaining” them?
Apologies then, it’s not wrong. It’s just an utterly batshit way to look at things.

One for @The Thistle Archive
If this game ends in a draw then all 4 games this season between the teams will have been draws.
when was the last time we drew all 4 league games across a season with one team? I thought we did it with Killie a few years back but that was in the top 6 season so we only played (and drew with) them 3 times.
As for this game, with back to back trips to Fife after this a win would give us some valuable breathing space, certainly not home and hosed for the playoffs yet.
Feels like a reasonable chance of this happening.
Another 3/3 came against Alloa in 19/20 (all the same score as well), and were actually due to play them for the 4th time right before lockdown happened. I don’t think a 4th 1-1 would have surprised anyone if that game did go ahead.
And an example of ‘nearly but not quite answering the question’ is that we drew 5 times in a row with Falkirk across 18/19 and 20/21.

That’s a howler of a miss.

Was impressed with him big step up looks a solid player
Agreed. A very good find from the lower reaches of the 6th tier.
To echo what others have said, trips to Arbroath next season (and possibly beyond) will be missed. But these things are cyclical; Arbroath have been the best part time team in Scottish football for close to a decade - including owning us for a good few years - but that was always going to end at some point. Not convinced McIntyre is the guy to get you back up, but I’d guess he’ll be given the summer window to put his own team together regardless.
A decent if unspectacular performance from us today. Definitely could have played better, but we were never really in danger and it was nice to finally keep a clean sheet.

Lodovica is out of contract end of season, I doubt he will be here next season regardless of which league we end up in.
We have only 5 or 6 players under contract for next season, Billy McKay and those signed at the start of last season on a two year, everyone else is up for renewal or away, plus lots of loanees who will go back to their clubs. Regardless of which league we end up in, its going to be a big clear out in the summer. Huge job for the management team. I think even those who still have a year left on their contract might not get that far.
I’d guess that some (if not all) of these players will have relegation release clauses as well where they’ll be given the option to walk away for free should you get relegated.
I just can’t see Caley going down, though. The quality of the playoff teams in L1 looks as low as I can remember, and it’s not as if you lot are some terrible team at this level either. At worst ICT are marginally weaker than about 5 or 6 other sides in the division - but should still have more than enough to stay up should it come down to playoffs.

I get the impression the average P&B poster is Middleclass, went to Uni, has a beard, likes pro wresting, likes posting Simpsons memes.
They are football fans but actually hate the types of people that actually play football in the main. Working class comes from council estates. Bit too Crass for them.
It’s a class thing. Bit of snobbery going on here IMO
Constantly saying that people who don’t like the same thing as you must like pro-wrestling and have beards is a really weird take, btw.

Terrible news for the remainder of the season.
I'm guessing either a like for like swap with Zander Mackenzie (which is a big drop off from Lawless), or possibly shifting Fitzpatrick to the right side and playing Ngwenya as a LW. Because as @Fuctifano says above, not sure we'll change the shape at this point.
