He has done it before but I must admit my hopes aren't high tonight. So frustrating when you don't know how we are playing, apart from loaded tweets. Defence seems porous tonight but we need to get goals back and if Miller is able to play, it might be time to risk him.

Every game is an adventure just now. Every opponent shows merits. The good thing is that, up to now, we have proved to be up to this level. Wish we cut the knocks out for a wee while, by my reckoning, including last Saturday, we have 7 players on the injured list to various degrees. We have yet to have a full squad to choose from and so our successes so far deserve to be crowed about.

It was Shippy's cup final and you could see they were fired-up for the game. Brian Ritchie needed these goals and they will have given his confidence a boost. I was surprised at Grant being taken off with Gemmell coming on. I expected it to be Comrie. who really was on the edge. Lucky not to get a second card after pushing a player over. Luckily ref only saw him getting shoved over in a retaliation. Good to see Bell on the scoresheet. After hitting the bar in the first half, I loved his double assist for the 2nd goal. His pass ended up with him getting to the ball then passing for Ritchie to score. Clearly meant!

Looks more like the BSC substitute 'keeper.

The good part of not expecting great things means I can enjoy them all the more if they come up. Glass half full or half empty? It doesn't matter because there's still something to drink!

This is a game we weren't expecting much from and tbh we've exceeded my expectations already. I know the guys will continue to give 100% no matter the score.

Wow! That's come as a shock I must say.......but a nice one.

Looking back now, in a reasonably calm way. Positives: Unbeaten start now 7 league matches. Last time we managed that was in 2009. Played this side last year and lost narrowly, this time we drew and might have sneaked a win. Great team spirit, never say die. Zander Miller bags a hat-tick, showing he's the penalty box striker we so badly need. Scored as many against BSC as Hibs managed. Negatives: Locke getting injury that will keep him out for weeks Campbell red card Amount of matches catching up on old side. ____________________________________________________________ An injection of youth is needed but I'm sure Max has people out scouting constantly but you can't fault the effort of the likes of Gemmell & Snowdon. Last night was a difficult watch but we knew we would be playing top sides sooner or later. If I had been offered 5 wins and 2 draws from first 7 games I'd have bitten your whole arm off. Going to be a few more away games now but if it is anything like last season, we may well play better away. This weekend will be mega-tough, made harder by injuries and suspension but I know for sure that whoever pulls on the jersey will give 100% and that is all I ask.

They've no doubt targeted that Ryan is better going forward than back. Dev can't really help now as on a yellow. Miller needs to be more of a threat up top, I would have expected him and Kieran to be combining a little better.

Amount of games catching up on old team. Losing Locke is a blow. We do need to test Mr Pilsbury in goals though.
