  1. Your attention-seeking is tedious in the extreme. You are behaving like a wee rose supporter, which I suspect you really are. Time for a block.
  2. Now that you have made it so clear that you are the righteous one, I do hope that you will now visit every thread on every forum and pass on your wisdom to everybody that has made an error, in your eyes.
  3. Oh no! The spelling police are out and about. Are you a young medical student, frustrated that nobody will talk to you? Now you know why.
  4. I will have to start lubricating the vocal chords, I suppose. Wouldn't want to let you down.
  5. We certainly look to have recruited wisely (once all confirmed). Will they gel as a team? I think so. We have an experienced central spine, in Murphy, Hunter, Gemmell, Locke & Miller. Add Grant, Stevenson & Anderson and the new boys and you see that Max has assembled a quality squad that 'could' seriously challenge. Will be a long way from recent years, where the bench has normally been comprised of cripples and pensioners
  6. At this moment I don't recognise the new faces, only the old ones.
  7. Just been watching the guys train. I can confirm that Gemmell and Hunter were there, also an extremely trimmed-down Kieran Anderson.
  8. Bo'ness United, Bonnyrigg Rose, Civil Service Strollers, Dalbeattie Star and Edinburgh University.
  9. If he hasn't put on too many pounds, he has a chance but he will have to fight to get in the team and I'm not sure if his heart is wholly in it.
  10. I may be rude but at least I'm not ignorant. This is a Bo'ness United thread in the Lowland League Forum. Thank you very much.
  11. Mr Oliver, please start a thread for your wee judas club in the correct forum .
  12. Try to understand. Would you go to Hibs asking for Hearts tickets details. Athletic are now (judas) rivals, certainly not friends, so don't get uppity.
  13. We shouldn't forget that Morgan and Nimmo also departed from last season's squad. From your unaccounted for list, I think Hunter is a cert to be back. I really hope Jacobs, Comrie and Gemmell too. I thought Miller was still in contract but may be wrong there. I don't see Turnbull or Faulds returning, as they were the first to drop out when COVID started. I may be doing him a disservice but I shudder to think what condition Kieran is in. I hope he has been keeping as fit as possible, because we all know there is a player in there.. As for McGregor, meh.
  14. HaHa, yeah that was him. No longer 'Sideshow Bob'.
  15. Wee trick question. Who knows Jack's last appearance for the club?
  16. Not been on. lately, compiling our history is taking time!. However, two (IMO) bad things have happened lately. Firstly, the decision to invite, then allow, Rangers and Celtic, to enter teams in the LL. It's a kick in the teeth to all those clubs in the EOSL that switched over from junior with us. If they can fit in two more places, i'd rather they let in Lithgae and Tranent, which shows how much I am against this decision! At least we can be proud of our club, standing up and doing the right thing. The second bad thing is the acceptance of Bo'ness Athletic into the EOSL. When they were piggy-backing on our name, they made assurances at a meeting that they had no intention of ever being a challenge to us and were just filling the junior void. Promises of them being a feeder club to us for promising youngsters was not kept and now they are going to be competing against us. Maybe not on the field but certainly for sponsorship, fund-raising etc. I would urge all BU's fans not to part with a penny by attending their games.
  17. Average age of players has now certainly reduced, with Nimmo, Snowdon and Campbell going. Hope Max brings in some 'legs ' for next season, as our greatest frailty is lack of pace.
  18. Maybe create a new e-mail address just for this, they can be made in seconds. Then just create a shell account on FB with a false name if you wish but attached to that newly created e-mail address. Not 100% on this but just an idea.
  19. Not a great day for LL clubs in the Scottish. BSC Glasgow going out to Haddington a real shock
  20. Their actions will be used as the justification to punish the rest of us.
  21. Frank came on trial in November 1966 from Gowanhill United. His first appearance as a trialist was on 23/11/66, in a 3-2 league defeat at Sauchie. He was signed shortly afterwards and appeared in a handful of games, as a right-winger, to the end of a most disappointing season for the BU's. He appeared more often the following season but was in direct competition for a place with John Bernard, who had 3 spells with the BU's in the 60's and 70's and earned himself transfers to Arbroath & East Fife. Frank scored eleven goals in 67/8, including one mad spell of four games in a row where he scored twice in each, against West Calder, Bonnybridge, Bathgate & Pumpherston. He may have played in the Lanark & Lothian Cup final win against Shotts Bon Accord, on 10/06/68 but I do not have full team lines. He was handed a free transfer at the close of the season and I have no info as to his onward movements.
