Fken pathetic footballers these days..one cross word with a team mate then its toys out pram and off somewhere else, the perception the the penglish premiership is full off egotistical players can be rivalled at every level of football these days...

  2. Fair play to newky, who keeps the faith and regularly posting updates, the apathy on social media outlets mirror on field results, its been a real run of brutal results for the last 2 or 3 years, funny enough i dont think anyone at any point go into too much detail about the team in general, i have no idea when things bottom out and you can see palpable results that show the team can be competitive on a consistent basis...

  3. Sweet jesus. Either twitter was away home early or just decided its not worth tweeting now..does anyone know the red card count this season,id guess 8 maybe 10.....10 red cards and we are not even out of August is just beyond words, id go as far as to say it could be a scottish record,

It's the sort of thing Welfare used to do to City in the glory days so I feel your pain.... slightly...

Funny you should say that..ive been thinking for a while that we were a team that didn't know how to lose  to one that doesn't know how to win, a long period between them but thats just what we are now...

So when George said "maybe we as a league have to recognise that we have to do something and be proactive" when referring to his buzzword of "ventilation" on the SFA podcast, he was just hoping a random club would submit a relegation rule change rather than encouraging clubs (especially his own) to propose one?

Not had a chance to listen to your podcast yet, what did he say about relegation?

Let me get this right, you take 8 EOS and 8 WOS clubs and put them in LL2, and then provide only provide an additional 0.5 promotion spots to get into the LL proper?  Seems a lot of work when an extra relegation spot (and the SOS taking a step down) would do the job even better with less hassle of a new division.

Plus if VOL were relegated under this scenario, they would be more likely to fall straight through LL2 as it contains the best of east and west, whereas they might have a chance in the EOS Premier.

They won't have a chance in the eos Premier

It’s a peculiarity of this mentally  diseased country that this is shot down because of bitter hatred, despite the fact that all evidence points to improved player development.

Apparently it can be done in huge countries like Spain and Germany, but not here. Croatia was cited as an example of how it could benefit countries similar to Scotland with around 70% of their World Cup finalists coming through the B team system. An SPFL director rebutted the suggestion saying “Yes, but they’re a successful country”.

Idiotic post..not one person would be against colt or b team's done in the correct manner or the correct position within the pyramid..thier was virtually no resistance to hibs joining the eos league a few seasons back...

No, I think the main factors were that some in the premier didn't want to be drawn into the relegation battle for the fourth bottom place (let's be honest the bottom 3 were gone).

The clubs who were eligible to vote in the top half of both the conferences wanted to play to the 50% threshold.

The remaining clubs in the conferences who were struggling and had little or no chance of making it to a new first division opted to null and void in order to get a second chance at getting in to the proposed new first division.

    Simple really.

As simple as understanding tbe difference between a congested league campaign and the opportunity to play friendly/training games
