Well said Ginaro! My understanding is that anyone can update Wiki As such I tend to stay away from it due to potential unreliability!
The Mantis - you seem to think it is a good thing, so why don't you update it and change your negatively in to a positive.
Also if you are so fed up with the club, do something about it! There is surely somewhere in the Club's constitution which allows an EGM to be called for people to have their say! If this is positive then get people in that you and others think that can do a better job than the current committee. But if you get no backing. Time to let go a bit and let the committee do their job!
Nothing wrong with a bit of negativity unless it is a pure moanfest but not coming up with any changes/suggestions.
As said last week, I do wish Whitehill all best for the season.
When did tbe culture come in that every observation made, is met with well can you do better and join the committee...people choosing to commit time to a football club is there own choice, for whatever reasons and whatever enjoyment they get out of it, its their perogative. To say you have to put up or shut up to have thoughts on a football team you support is ridiculous, unfortunately anyone's comments on ww will indeed be negitive as apart from the floodlights positivity has been in short supply for a good while....i was not calling for managers head, ive no doubt hes a decent lad, too early to say how his manager career will go, if people were being honest, most knew will the squad assembled it was always going to be a struggle( maybe not as comprehensive as it is) its funny that stop being negative is the catchphrase, but every answer is met with little money and a low budget, more or less conceeding that little can be achieved...the elephant in the room has had drastic consequences for football, yes big supported teams have better finances but if having lower budget stops you dead what is the point....

I expected I might get a 'put up or shut up' type response to that post
If you think I'm negative and fed up with the club, you must be mistaking me for somebody else. I've hardly posted here in a couple of years. I witnessed a shitstorm on FB last weekend but never commented. I gave the club 8 years (including wiki updates btw) but haven't been associated with the club for a couple of years now. My only interest will be to pay my 6 quid at the gate if it ever happens.
I see I had a post removed (first ever for me) which was probably in bad taste but was meant as an in-joke, but apologies anyway. If the likes of Newky or Magoo or Carnethie Street were offended that would be different.
Me offended...

3 years of absolute pish results.. 3 relegations in 3 years technically.. any queeries or questions gets met with universal clichés about, youth, give them time etc...an absolute shitshow

This is a bit sad reading this page today!
Tranent are a good side and are going to take a few goals off a number of teams this season.
Heritage has nothing to do with whether a team should be relegated or not. No team has a devine right to expect to stay in the Lowland or indeed the Premier league! Look at Linlithgow. 10 years ago they were probably best supported and most successful Junior team in Scotland, perhaps for the exception of Pollok! Now, they are not even favourites for promotion from the Premier league.
It is a shame to hear fans fighting among themselves on this forum. When Musselburgh Athletic visited Ferguson Park and practically all were taken with the welcome we received from the guys and girl at entrance to ground, food shop and the bar! Time is now to get behind your side and hope they don’t get relegated again this season.
Genuinely wish your club all the best for rest of season!
If you look at our stats pal you will see why there is worries...no-one connected with ww is nieve about money, standings etc, but our recird on the pitch is truly appalling and in football, results are the be all and end all...

Do you know what is a shambles? You’re comment.
From the outside looking in the guys on the committee have done a cracking job the past season or two, granted results haven’t been great, this season they’re only 4-5 games in, still early.
off the park the club, like many others are working in difficult situations with no fans through the gates, I assume the social club will also be closed which would be additional revenue.
the current committee have also done what previous committees haven’t done, and in my opinion should have been done years ago and actually fitted floodlights at Ferguson park. I seen the effort that was put into the fundraising for that. There are some on this forum that said give them 10 seasons and there would be no floodlights. Job done!
by getting the floodlights that secured the sfa license therefore meaning entry to the Scottish cup, don’t see much credit for that.
I also seen their plea for additional committee members and volunteers, they’re obviously toiling in that respect. If you feel they are that much of a shambles carnethie street, step up and be counted, get yourself on the committee and help improve the club.
The statement that nobody got credit for the floodlights is up there with one of the biggest lies i have ever seen on here...

I don’t know magoo, they might have fresh eyes, different contacts within the game, know of players who could improve the team, I haven’t a clue.
Chuck your name in the hat and find out
I've never been in a committee in my life ir have any real desire too..any work or financial input has been done by me being a supporter of the club, i am hiwer a football fan and the football team appear to be in a disappointing place, for quite a period as well

Will a couple of new committee members improve an absolute horrific run on the pitch...

What age are you not allowed to travel to games,if this is the case it is surely a mockery of competition if this is the case

What happened the day then? 1-1 at half time against a team that will be well up the table.
Looks like the usual...sending off..id be surprised if there is a team in scotland that have had more red cards than whitehill in the last 3 years

WW of course started life as a Juvenile side with many many good young players.
They even reached the last 4 of the SFA Youth Cup in the late 80s around the time when a well known poster on here was controversially benched in his younger days.
More recently under Mike Lawson, when East of Scotland League and South Challenge Cup holders, an U21s side was established in 2013-14. Funnily enough a prominent player from that side signed for Dunbar United yesterday.
WW were one of the 8 founder members of the U20s Development in 2014-15 and through a formal link up with Edinburgh South helped to produce players that are now playing at clubs all over.
They should be thriving from the fruits of this in the Lowland League as opposed to scrambling to put a proper relegation fight up in the division below but they are where they are.
Money talks..no matter how many players produced that is the reality

Don't really know the ins and outs at the football club but that's a question for the committee or an agm.
I'm sure there will be many clubs that will suffer through sponsors tightening their purse strings once things get back to a bit normality again.
A lot of income already lost this season wi very few home games played.
The club are trying hard through these troubled times wi the grand national virtual sweepstake, football cards, lotto and the donate a ticket scheme.
That's aboot the only income they've got/had at the minute.
Testing times for every club though no just ww.
First game will be under the new floodlights...absolute fken scenage

You're the only one ranting here.
But I'm sure you'd have been totally coolio if it had been your team screwed for promotion because they had played a lower proportion of home games. Cool beans.
Your team got screwed for promotion by a global disaster not by having a few home games cancelled because of rain..by all means have a rant and feel hard done by...but you will get very little support from your average football fan as everyone can clearly see the issues when trying to come to a conclusion...id take the way bonnyrigg dealt with the decisions made and move on.....

Can ppg be regarded as fair if the proportion of home/away games is significantly different

What an utter shit show, that interconference idea was always daft but now deciding on who gets promoted via points gained against teams in another league is laughable.
Its a complete slap in the face for Leith and Kinnoull, especially when Premier League dross isn't being relegated - next season is going to have a shorter window to fit games into so it makes perfect sense for the Premier clubs to have to fit in at least 2 more games.
Laughable.
Just goes to show that Scottish football is corrupt from the top to the bottom.
Could promote 6 teams then yeh
