Ordered my season ticket online yesterday and it arrived in the post this morning.

Yeah, Alloa Athletic have really regressed since Mike took over the club. All this back to back promotions, six years out of eight in the Championship, beating Sevco, Hibs, Dundee United etc is all very well, but changing the club's badge is what really matters.

Ta. Difficult to commit to an early season ticket purchase until we are certain of any covid-related restrictions on attending games IMO. Not that I believe there should be any restrictions at all on attending Alloa league games at the Indodrill, for either home or away fans. Maybe on a different page on the website, but if not it would be good if terms and conditions, especially re which matches a season ticket entitles you to attend, were advertised.

Sensational stuff again from Novak. Hopefully Tsitsipas comes out of this stronger and leads the new generation of new talents forward so that we can enjoy several years of classic slams and rivalries between them similar, if not as good, to what we have been treated by Nadal, Federer and Djoko (with the lesser but significant contribution of Andy Murray).

Usually Paddy Connolly is retained as part of the coaching team. It's been that way since he first came in with Paul Hartley ten years ago though the next five managers. We also have a VERY experienced group of players.

That would be a first. I can understand the antipathy towards Barry Ferguson (both re his history and apparent management abilities), but if we are genuinely after him then I'm happy to back Mulraney's judgement. The Rangers thing doesn't bother me, even although I detest that club and what it stands for. Any Alloa manager or player starts with a clean sheet for me. His high profile nature is a big positive IMO, both in terms of attracting players and general coverage of our club. I appreciate that may all back fire. ☺

Hartley Goodwin Ross Grant Smith Lennon

This is a really good point. Mike never takes the tired, easy option and has a very good record of managerial appointments. Three of our recent managers are currently doing very well with other clubs in Scotland (Ross, Goodwin and Hartley) and that's a reflection of both their quality and Alloa as a brilliant place to learn the ropes. Andy Graham certainly deserves the chance if he really wants it although no one knows how he would do or is whether he is cut out for it. I'm not sure we need as big a squad rebuild as some have suggested - Parry, Taggs, Jamieson, Dick, Robbo, Grant, Hetherington, Crawley and Trouts are all good enough to be in a team challenging near the top of league one IMO and the likes of Williamson, O'Donnell and Brown would also be fine to have in the squad.
