There's too many pages for me to catch up on.
Fair play to Morton.
Regardless I had a good night out. We went in early to Caley bar in Port Glasgow then to the ground. Left early enough for pints in the Norseman then a few in town before closers in Motherwell.
I had a good night, as usual the worst part was the fitba.
I'll moan about Motherwell on our thread.
Well done Morton, Dougie Imrie canny tie his laces.1 -

That's only half of it! He also claimed he got a trial for Den Haag at the age of 37, after impressing their boss in a Works league match.
I'm gonna have to pay more attention to the lower leagues threads.

1991 must have been around about the time you claimed you were personally trained by the world famous Dutch internationalist, Rob Rensenbrink, who played in two World Cup finals.
Why on earth would we think you're a fantasist?
This is the most interesting bit of the thread yet.

How do Bellshill's fine residents take this? They'd look at me as if I had 3 arms when I told them I was a Motherwell fan.
anyway...

I don't want Oli Shaw above Jack Vale in the pecking order.

Oli Shaw has become a meme. He's nowhere near as bad as some like to make out, and he's at about the level a backup striker at motherwell is going to be.
I massively disagree based on the first half of the season.

SK loves shaw for some reasonso that's him straight in as N0.2 striker annoyingly.

There were, ahem, reasons why Craigan left the Motherwell coaching team, weren't there?

Before the VAR system came in, some people thought it would level things up with Celtic and Rangers getting found out with all the unfair decisions that they arebon the end of season after season. None of these people seemed to realise it would be the same referees looking at the TV screens. Two incidents on Saturday summed this up. The high boot by Goldson in the lead up to Livi's first goal could have been missed by the on field officials, but someone having the time to watch various angles and still not giving a foul is outrageous. Similar scenario at Pittodrie with Johnson's push on Gartenmann in the box at 1-0 impossible to miss watching it back.
Said it all along. VAR was only gonna give the refs a chance to look for fouls to benefit the OF teams. Yer still never getting the same things they get.

I'd imagine we'll set up the same as Saturday but probably make a bit more use of the bench.
It's set until the end of the season to set up this way, Worried we'll run a functioning Bair into the ground though.

Never quite understood why aerial challenges aren't treated the same as those on the ground, especially if you consider the likelihood of a head injury.
Where I've always been anaw. It's madness at times.

Are folk still keen for Kettlewell to be sacked?
Other folk have put it better than I could but this is how I feel about it really:
11 minutes ago, capt_oats said:It's a moot point really as it's been made relatively clear that the board aren't of a mind to bin him.
The chairman/CEO are wanting out. They are in the process of replacing themselves. They aren't wanting any hassle on top of that anyway.2 -

Interesting playing position for Mugabe.
14 hours ago, Jim McLean's Ghost said:Also the O'Donnell-Mugabi interchangability on the right was fun tbh. The poor man's Tierney-Robertson.
Of course it only makes our signings even more curious.
Said this at the game Bevis was effectively our poor man's version of K Tierney with his overlapping centre half role.
It was great to watch, I just think he's brilliant to watch hammering forward. Hilarious man.0 -
Van Veen to score and looks sad that he did. 1/2
