We had a chairman who'd been half arsing it for years, who knew he was on his way out that Summer, and honestly i think he just couldnt be bothered doing anything other than hiring MacLean. A 3yr deal was insane but Steve Browns final few years/decisions have cost us millions, so whats another bad, costly, decision at that point?

I fear for us right now with a similar situation with can't be arsed head honchos

"The panel is drawn from former top level managers, player and coaches, and is guided by experts on the Laws of the Game."

Who as we all know, are experts in the modern game...

"While an offside decision earlier in the attacking move meant no penalty would have been awarded in any case, the IRP examined the incident and believe Collum should have recommended an on-field review for a potential penalty. That review would then have triggered an offside check and a free kick given to Celtic."

In other words, the panel wanted more time to be wasted on a referee going to a screen just to have a goal kick changed to an offside a few metres away? We saw it on the Livi v Hibs game (corner) and then on another game recently (can't remember which) where this happened.

And an incident involving Rangers Jose Cifuentes was also highlighted. The midfielder was shown a yellow card for a challenge against Dundee in December which was upgraded to a red card after a pitchside review. Rangers then submitted an appeal to an independent tribunal but lost, with Cifuentes suspended and Rangers paying a £500 fee.

The IRB felt VAR shouldn’t have been involved at all and that the initial yellow card was sufficient punishment.

So the VAR, then on-field referee, and an independent tribunal agreed with the red card, but this other independent panel don't? Just goes to show how people will never agree on things...

this panel sounds a lot of shite.

It's unclear from your post so just to clarify - do you not rate Liam Kelly?

Maybe I did during his few months loan.

To say he's "fucking shite and always has been" is wildly revisionist.

I've been a massive critic for ages and fans of other teams have never rated him.
He was great during his wee loan as I've said but he's bang average at best.

TBF, we will make a pretty decent wedge from Kelly being at the Euros, and I'd say dropping him at any point between now and the end of the season probably finishes any chances of him going.

There are various murmurings of him being on an absolutely daft wage, aren't there? Probably has a bearing on it as well.

Kelly signed a months extension so we would get this money, however as @Desp said, there's surely no chance anyone with eyes picks Kelly.

Liam Kelly has been a pretty good goalkeeper for the most part in Motherwell FC colours (imo)

However, his form has totally collapsed of late. No more incredible saves, covering for the constant defensive slip ups. How many points did he previously save us?

    This is fantasy.

Liam Kelly has made good saves, yes. He's had good games, yes.

His form dropped as of late? shite, was throwing them into the net V Raith Rovers a year ago. It's not something new.

He's made his name with saves for the camera, He's been shite forever barring the few months he was on loan.

He's fucking shite and always has been.
