  1. I think it is good to be optimistic... if Livi are still around this time next month, there won't be any wage problems. Not only will people roll in with hard earned cash for the early-bird season ticket offer, but all that money will be in by 30 April! By coincidence, 30th of April, when Massone thinks the wages should get paid, is also the last Thursday of the month, when the players (maybe other staff too) believe they should be paid. No issues here then. Given these 3 amazing facts, I foresee no reports of wage non-payments next month....... what can possibly go wrong?
  2. So .. let's ignore this month's wage problem as it is getting coverage elsewhere, and be ground breaking, and look at the future of Livi. March's payday - The last Thursday of the month is 26 March; last date is Tuesday 31 March. What is likelihood of the staff and players being paid before April Fools day for their March endeavours?
  3. For the sake of everyone's sanity on here - I hope he hasn't posted a defence, but instead had the good grace and decency to admit defeat.
  4. Being abroad not too close to the latest news, but any updates on Thursday's court cases? http://www.livilions.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=15240 Apparently Jigsaw Travel, Leader Timber and Biggart Baillie were looking for some sort of repayments. Anyone know if Massone needs a new Mass-loan-ey? Did Jigsaw Travel's "final demand" prove too puzzling for Angelo to understand? Has Leader actually been a losser? Has Baillie proven a Fail+lie? Updates needed please?
  5. If you look at the livilions site (http://www.livilions.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=15234), it appears the stadium purchase is a done deal, and Massone has started the second stage of the great plan.. though I didn't expect that parts of the ground would be sold off in this fashion .. "Dundee fans to be offered Almondvale Suite" Any idea how much Massone is looking for the Dundee fans to stump up? Partick fans. You are due at Almondvale on 28 February (if the creditors, administrators, banks etc etc don't get there first) - which bit of the stadium do you fancy owning? The Chairman's office, with its dilllusionally optomistic view of the future?
  6. Don't think he is - he is referring to you all but the sub-set of fans who want to believe that Massone being able to buy the stadium at a knowck down price from the council and tax payers of West Lothian, and then re-mortaging the land at the commercial value so the money can go somewhere else. Massone's proposed "deal" should never be allowed to happen. Councils and officials will be jeopardising their future and status by playing along. There should be enough audits and controls in place to ensure the tax payers are not ripped off here, and the council officials are accountable for any bad decision they make. Certainly under Enlgish law over the past 20 - 25 years, enough officials have been surcharged and barred from office for doing delas that appeared legitimate but were infact not in the best interests of the tax and rate payers. Not sure if the same or similar rules are in place in Scotland - one can only hope there are.
  7. Maybe I am being too micro-economic and not macro-economic enough here. Viewing things from an Italian perspective, given the strength of the Euro and weakening of pound, the value of the debt has dropped actually by 30% since the club was taken over last year! Maybe they do know what they are doing and their financial prowess has been mis-judged! Thankks to the falling value of the £, being debt free by this summer is a really possibility!
  8. http://livinews.wordpress.com/2009/01/21/l...ds-keep-coming/ Not looking too rosie! It’s taken time, but the end is almost nigh. Too much bad money being wasted after good here. One can only speculate, if only the tax payers money spent on trying to build this shambles up (or building the stadium up) had been put under the mattress instead, then the local residents may have been able to purchase themselves a medium sized local bank, like IF, and saved hundreds of jobs in the area. As it is, it appears that local business are being savaged rather than saved.
