  1. There were 15,995 at that game yet in the semi final against Leeds there were 24,831
  2. The guy also thought Jones was out of contract this summer and couldn't offer any alternative argument when I said he was under contract for another 18 months. They think they have a divine right to buy anyone for whatever ridiculous price they initially offer. TBH I am not convinced Jones is that great - he does stretch defences but too often there is no end product - a bit like Tope, Who incidentally scored more goals for us. His performance at Easter Road was a disgrace - he rarely took on Ambrose and would run along side players rather than tackle them. I have always thought he is a bit of a shitebag when it comes to tackling - no heart and is feart.
  3. That's correct. It was also a 1.30pm kick off which probably had some impact too. The weather though was also factor considering the majority of the crowd would normally have been Celtic fans and would have been out in the open.
  4. I hate fans of new Rangers more than I hated fans of the old version. 2 cheeks of the same arse. Had one muppet today saying that the offer for Jones was a good one, based solely on what we currently pay him.
  5. You often went home from Scotland games at Hampden and your feet were covered in dust. Happy days.
  6. True - My father went to that game but didn't take me as he said I needed to study for upcoming exams. Dundee beat Celtic 1-0 in the final that year and the crowd was really low as it was pissing down on the afternoon of the final.
  7. We played them a few times at Hampden in the 80s. Worst ever was the 3rd game of the season in the old 2nd Division (in reality the 3rd Division) and we lost leaving us 3rd bottom of the league.
  8. Jim Clark on the left who I thought was a great player, next to Ally Mauchlen who is one of the hardest and dirtiest players I ever saw play for us (loved him). Remember him taking the rip out of Neale Cooper when he was at Aberdeen one day when he kept pulling him down following a crunching tackle and Cooper was going daft. The Killie player on the RHS I think, is either Paul Clarke, Alan Robertson or George 'Sam' Maxwell. (Sam Maxwell is the best penalty taker ever in our history).
  9. He was sitting just to the right of where I was sitting that game in the first half and I noticed he wasn't there in the 2nd half. What a muppet he is, smoking in the wooden "stand" at Dens. He should have been charged for doing so.
  10. We questioned that at the game, but basically Collum shat it for the 2nd time that afternoon after having let Tavernier off with what should have been a second booking for another foul on Jordan Jones. Another example of the usual incompetence we get from a Scottish refereeing official.
  11. Maybe Jones is leaving? Did you see him as he left the pitch today? Last man away from the East Stand, kept looking around as he slowly walked off the park.
  12. Rangers media was hilarious today after our victory. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
  13. The person who it came from phoned by someone from the club today. I won't believe it until it happen though.
  14. I know it has been mentioned previously elsewhere but I heard tonight that Naismith is definitely coming to Killie in January
  15. One of the stalwarts of Kilmarnock Cricket Club Bobby Hill recently died. You may know him
  16. Not coming from Kilmarnock I don't know all the street names, but it is where the Powerleague is, at the back of Asda. The A71 ran alongside it and my thoughts were the same as yours in that I was surprised how small it was.
  17. Clarke said last night that, depending on the next 3 results, if they go well he only expects to bring in 1 or 2 players in January (budgets/money permitting) but gave nothing away own they were. I would expect at least one to be a forward.
  18. Yes, good luck to Bobby Williamson. I remember writing him a letter about 15-16 years ago, moaning about lots of different things that were happening at Killie, and he phoned me at my house a week or so later. Initially he gave me a hard time defending himself, as you would expect, but we ended up on the phone for about an hour and had a great chat. I got a far better understanding of the issues he faced and he could see why I was frustrated with lots of goings on and could see how he got frustrated with players not following his instructions. He also invited me down to watch the team training one day, which I did while they trained at Kirkstyle cricket ground. He totally changed my opinion about him as a consequence and I wish him well and hope he fully recovers.
  19. St Johnstone?? I wouldn't be too bothered if Rory leaves as I don't think he is anywhere near the level Steve Clarke is looking for. I have never been a big fan of him, but he is industrious and generally does work hard and I think he is quite good at covering up defensively (a lot of others don't). If this is the case I wish him well.
  20. I'm was standing just to the right of where this was taken - it snowed at one point during the game.
  21. I agree with this. The best discussions he participated in were those where he talked a lot about what goes on with a football club, however all he can really discuss/shout about now is The Rangers, which I find totally disrespectful to Kilmarnock FC and our supporters. Sportsound used to be good, especially on a Saturday, however it is now just a tool to promote 2 clubs. It is BBC Scotland who produce it, not BBC Old Firm.
  22. I agree 100% with you and I think this may be raised at the upcoming AGM. It will be interesting to hear the response from the board and/or Clarke. I generally don't listen to him anymore when he comes on because he talks utter garbage and adds absolutely nothing to any debate/discussion, however I did listen on Monday night and agin he made a complete fool of himself. He is as thick as mince and his grammar is atrocious, which I find painful to listen to. Goodness knows what I would think of him had he not played for Killie. Anyway back to football and I hope he scores against your lot today - again!!!
