Not sure, probably sometime in the 90s. I remember going to Easter Road in 1982 and they never opened the away end for us, so we had to walk away round the back of that terracing, then come down it to get behind the goals. We actually ended up in the small enclosure in from of the main stand. There were only about 50-60 Killie fans there that day as we were garbage that season and got relegated. Big D equalised for us about 8 minutes from time, after which a good number of the Hibs "fans"ran round the back of the benches behind the goals and the main stand to "meet" the Killie fans. Lovely!!

Cracking wee ground, which I always enjoyed going to, and it is sad that it is no longer there. Agree about it being shame they moved to the new stadium, possibly a bit similar to Dumbarton, as I always loved going to Boghead. Their fans might feel differently though. My friends father, John Niven, played for East Fife in the 50s before transferring to Kilmarnock. He won a league cup winners medal with them in the early 50s.

West Region Championship thread 2018-19

Seriously? I thought he was excellent, and I am not renowned for complimenting referees. He let the game flow, took the weather conditions into account, talked to players, and didn't flash the cards like most junior referees do. Even more surprising after being told he was being assessed yesterday. Even sent Cashmore off, which was a bonus. -
Is that the price of the cheapest seats? I tried to get a ticket when I came back from holiday but the site says there are none available.

Went to see Steve Hackett at the Royal Concert Hall last Monday night and he was superb, as always. Gutted I missed Jeff Lynne's ELO the week before as I was on holiday.

Big Sur was closed when I was there in May/June, so check whether it is now opened. We cycled over to Sausalito which was good - it is a lovely place. You could cycle further out towards Muir Woods if you have time. We also went to the baseball, which was good as a one off, but I couldn't watch that regularly; the season may well have ended by the time you get there.

Absolutely brilliant statement. He must suffer levels of OF paranoia too, as he also thought that we wouldn't win the appeal either once Collum was confirmed as referee for Sunday. "As soon as I heard the news, very early in the week, that the referee in question had been appointed to take charge of the first Old Firm match of the season before our hearing had taken place I, and many other people, knew that the decision would go against Kilmarnock. There is no doubt that the perception of most and certainly of our club is that the hearing was pre-judged by this early appointment"

Don't really think so - the SFA were hardly likely to announce his appointment for the upcoming OF game yesterday then publicly admit he was wrong last weekend. I thought after seeing again on TV at the weekend it would have been rescinded, but no wonder so many clubs don't bother throwing £1,000 away with an appeal.

Agree 100% - I would be really disappointed if we end up with him. I was hoping for signings at a far higher level than this. Was never a fan of him the first time, and if he wasn't a Killie fan no one would want him back. I think Greg Stewart is a good signing and I would be more than happy if Tshibola was to sign for us as well. Has anyone heard a rumour that there is an offer on the table for Mulumbu but he is holding out hoping for Hibs to sign him?

Personally I think that Roy Aitken has been seriously under rated historically, an excellent midfielder who was also comfortable at centre half. Would be a stand out in the national team if he was at his peak right now, undoubtedly a major trade up from broonaldo. I stopped watching Scotland for a good number of years because of Roxburgh continually picking Aitken, who IMO was not international class. Even worse he made him captain. It's a sad indictment of the standard of football now that he would most likely walk into the current Scottish team. Best memory of Aitken for me was the night he got sent off in the Scottish Cup replay at Rugby Park in 1978. We beat them 1 - 0.

Enjoyed my visit to K-Park on Wednesday. East Kilbride played some good football and it was good to see 2 ex Arthurlie players playing for you. Malcolm will score you plenty of goals over the season. A really good set up and by the looks of things a really well run club. Good luck for the rest of the season.
