  1. It wasn't his. Armstrong threw it over after the water break and it didn't reach the edge of the pitch.
  2. I've never handed in a Gen Play card. Anything which isn't a counter tends to be 10-14 holes after work in the summer. Some Sunday full rounds with someone who isn't a member. I think I need to rethink the cards posted based on the number of rounds you have all mentioned
  3. Thanks for this. I would have expected a minimum of 20 scoring rounds a year for me but looking more closely at last year I hardly played in April (football) and only 1 mid week counter all season. Need to change that this year.
  4. Out of interest, how many medal cards do you all post over the season? I felt like I played most Saturdays last season from April to the end of September but it appears I only played in 12 handicap counters which doesn't seem like many. The rest was taken up with Scrambles, pairs, other team comps etc.
  5. A very good display from us today. Punished Dundee for their dismal defending. Good to see O'Hara looking more like he was last season. Strain makes a huge difference, but the whole defence were very good. A well deserved 3 points.
  6. Got the handicap down from 8.9 to 6.8 last Saturday. Best ever score off the whites, but was 1 under par standing on the 17th tee and finished double-bogey, bogey to finish 2 over. Delighted and gutted
  7. Never realised how enormous the badge on the 59 strip was before
  8. It may not be as much as that to be honest, but it's a completely different hole now.
  9. Yes, 17th has been shortened by about 100 yds , new green, and is now a par 4. Other than a few bunkers being filled in and turfed offer, that's it.
  10. First medal for me today (Routenburn). Very wet and boggy in places but the greens were decent. Drainage is usually excellent but the course just hasn't had time to breathe before the next downpour arrives.
  11. I get all of that, there is just something about him I don't take to (don't know what it is). I was happy for him when he won it.
  12. I would love to master the art of slapping it into the trees, only to end up on the fairway.
  13. People you dislike for no reason thread - Danny Willett
  14. ooft, that is indeed a belter
  15. I play at a council run course (with a club membership) and last year almost all of our bunkers were filled in and re-turfed. In fairness some of them were always GUR but the cost to sand and maintain was becoming too costly.
  16. I have not celebrated a goal like that in a long time. The mix of everyone in disbelief and sheer joy as to what happened was magic.
  17. His last couple of performances have been excellent. I think he got injured winning a very good tackle and the boy landed on him. Hopefully nothing too serious.
  18. Agree on Mandron, he really looked up for it and was strong on the ball. Kiltie was brilliant again, he never seems to get the praise that he thoroughly deserves.
  19. Let's not forget their chat about Michael Beale. Yes, this is instead of going to reporters who are covering Scottish games or having anyone with any knowledge of football outwith The Premiership (wee Derek has some championship knowledge). Other than that they would rather give us Billy Dodds and his musical thoughts
  20. "It's some league now with Duncan Ferguson and Scott Brown" - Tom English.
