  1. This is the thing that worries me the most. We can recover from having a poor manager/playing badly. We will struggle to recover from more money mismanagement.
  2. That part of the meeting really annoyed me. We made 200k profit but sold players for a minumum of 400k. Its pretty simple maths to work out that if we hannt sold the players we would have been in the red. I just dont get how the club can make such a mess of the numbers so consistently. It seems to be like they were again banking on selling some of our players in January but with the team being in such poor form no-one would be interested in anyone (other than maybe Taylor)
  3. Me too. I seem to recall giving Hughes abuse for signing a 'pre Madonna c**t' when he was sent off against Stirling Albion in his debut. Being wrong was brilliant. Lol.
  4. I still miss Latapy. He really was amazing to watch.
  5. Sheldon is possibly one of the best US sitcom characters ever. Utter class.
  6. Can you please get rid of your signature in case someone sees it!

    Modern Family

One of my current favourite shows. Cam and Phil are my 2 favourite characters, although they all have their moments.
  8. I have no issues with Leishman. I'm personally going to give it a miss due to whos speaking. I genuinely hope it goes well for yous. As I said, I think its a good idea.
  9. If that's the case then why not just say that though?
  10. That board member also claimed the HE didn't know how we voted. Looking back it was actually quite clever as he took the mic to take the pressure of White who was the person who actually cast the vote for the club. I wanted to challenge his 'secret ballot' nonsense, so due to being focused on that I didn't ask David White for a response which I should have. To be fair the question was never going to be answered (I didn't bring it up, and wasn't going to) but since it was out there I wanted to make my feelings known...for all the good it did My main point was that all the good work the club had carried out in improving communications and relations with the fans had been damaged with their lack of transparency on the issue.
  11. This. I think its a great idea let down by asking him to speak.
  12. I'm already looking at houses in the Huddersfield area
  13. He won sweeties in the raffle. I wonder what he did with them
  14. I'll try. Started out with Introductions before David White came out and outlined his role and the other roles at the club. After mentioning about 800k loss 2 seasons ago and 200k loss last season, it was presented that we made a 200k profit this season. Q&A came and I asked if it was true that we had to sell players from the academy to break even and got some diplomatic answer that didnt actually answer my question. A few other questions about the bottom line the club were asked if the numbers took into accout our sale of players (Wallace & Higgy etc.) which it did. I asked that if we got £800k for Wallace and 100k for Higgy then surely we need to sell to break even. Got an answer saying 'take 500k off the Wallace figure' for a true reflection but was still left feeling we were being fobbed off, given the cup games were also a major bonus. The Trust were next up who came across very well to be fair. Gordon spoke very well and seemed genuine. ( I have reservations about another certain member of them but that's another issue) Looking for x amount of investors and what they're trying to do. (Ill try and expand more on that later) After the break it was up to Pressley and his team to put his points across (which I thought he did very well) and it was then opened for questions. Much of it was about lack of creating chances, losing players, lack of fitness (which I though was bizarre to be honest as its not a concern I have). Pressley used a board to explain his tactics at corners etc. and despite a few awkward questions, he handled himself very well. The Sevco issue also came up and was handled by a 'board member' in the crowd' but it was the usual political pish answer. I seem to remember him saying that even HE didnt know how the club voted, but I might be wrong on that one. Either way it was a bit 'wishy washy'. Id post more but I've had a few and need some time to mull the whole thing over... On the plus side I won a 'training day' at the raffle. No idea what's involved but will wait and see what they say about it
  15. McNamara could still fall flat on his arse, he is still unproven IMO. Pressely did well last season (personally I don't think it was down to him, but that's another issue) and is again proving that he cant manage effectively (as he did the season before last) My point is that constantly going for inexperienced managers is a dangerous business plan. Not that the board should have picked McNamara, I think that would also have been too big a risk.
  16. The board should have picked a more experienced manager after May's term. Whilst it would have in no way guaranteed success, we would have got someone with a track record and proven traits. Someone with previous for having a 'plan B' or being able to alter tactics during a game to compensate for opposition changes. It wasn't so much the 'picking Pressley over McNamara' or whomever. Its the fact that they have been consistently going for unproven, untried managers. It a risky (although cheaper) strategy.
  17. For me the performances plummeted when we lost 1 player. Higgy, as soon as he went we found it very difficult to create.
  18. Its a fair point but one that's not really relevant to what's happening at Falkirk. The manager has to get he players to know their own roles and play to their best regardless of their individual abilities. Pressley simply isn't doing that. I do appreciate that he has lost a few good players but if he cant adapt a system to suit the players we currently have then he's not the man for the job. I thought at the time that Pressley had thrown a double 6 last season and had no idea why, I really hoped I was wrong. Don't look like it at the moment.
  19. I went to Chicago with my wife a few years ago. Best holiday I've ever had. Awesome city.
  20. I don't think its as crazy a suggestion as some might think. I (like most) would say Hendry is still above him, but he's certainly got a case for second best player ever. His all round game is utterly breathtaking when he's on form. Given this was his first ranking tournament this season (coupled with the fact he is either amazing for a full year or off form all year) I would expect him to win quite a few more tournaments this year.
  21. I remember him punting the ball up the wing (and out of play) into double figures every game. Each time raising his hand to apologise.
  22. It's on Eurosport for anyone interested.
  23. I didnt watch the video clip. I could even cope (to a degree) with us having to be a selling club in the first. What I cant cope with is his cock sucking of all things Sevco. Its utterly disgraceful and completely unforgivable.
