  1. They werent. If the rules were adhered to Sevco would be applying to SFL3 along with Spartans etc. instead of being placed directly in Div 3.
  2. I just about threw my cat at the computer screen at that point. So many things wrong with that statement.
  3. Im pleased at that as I have a few mates who stay through that way and it means I can go through when Falkirk play, watch the football and have a few pints with them
  4. Quit frankly its disgusting that Newco have been given access to the 3rd div without going through the usual process. They have still been given preferential treatment and any other clubs (such as Spartans) should take legal advice. Why weren't they given a chance and a team with no accounts or information are voted straight in? Shocking.
  5. I took it the same way. It's a compliment, certainly not a negative thing. I'm sure he didn't mean it that way though.
  6. Surely if the vote goes against div 1 they shouldn't automatically get div 3? Don't Spartans etc get a chance to apply for the upcoming vacant spot?
  7. I feel exactly the same way Gaz. I don't want to have to walk away from Scottish Football but there's a chance I might have too.
  8. I've heard nothing from the club to suggest that. However if they do vote in favour they can go f**k themselves. I'll never return to a Scottish Football match.
  9. I've caught a few matches over the last few seasons and can't say there was much in it. It certainly wasn't any worse from what I've seen.
  10. Clyde are doing a fantastic job. They're actually making clubs who say they'll vote 'yes' look utterly clueless. I'm very impressed with them.
  11. f**k that. They should have to APPLY to the third. Same as anyone else. They have no devine right to walk into the 3rd.
  12. Unless they have the other applicants applications to the 3rd they can't vote for A. It should be whether or not they can get into the first. When/if that fails there is nothing to stop them applying the 3rd with Spartans etc. (personally I think their application to the 3rd should also fail as per Airdrie Utd in 2002 but that's another discussion )
  13. It's something else he'd need to backtrack on for Newco to be allowed back in to the SPL if the vote goes against them though.
  14. Agreed. Clyde's statement was lengthy as it HAD to be to ensure the wording of the proposal was properly broken down and understood by all to be the joke that it is. Well done Clyde.
  15. didn't the SFA say that if Newco were voted into the SPL that they would have refused to give them a licence to play football?
  16. To be fair. I read that a few weeks ago, it could be wrong... or the authorities could've moved the goalposts again.
  17. I thought they needed 75% for div 1 and 50% (up against other applicants) for 3rd div.
  18. If they wish to keep their history then surely the HMRC etc can also still go for them too then?
  19. Unless you're an Airdrie Utd supporter. They were denied their appeal to access the 3rd division in 2002. From what I recall it was to discourage teams using liquidation as a way to leave debt and start again in div 3. Surely if thats the case with them, it should be the same with Newco/Sevco.
  20. Excuse my ignorance but whats happening with the BIG tax case and the EBTs? Is that nothing to do with Sevco given that they're a 'new' club or can the HMRC etc still go after them?
