  1. Rod Stewart and an endearingly nervous Glasgwegian goth ruining I Don't Wanna Talk About It.... see nags, etc.
  2. Tim Hardin - Reason To Believe (listen and weep, Rod)
  3. Tom Waits - The Day After Tomorrow (listen and weep, Tony.)
  4. It's just a joke that took off a little. Don't read anything into it! We were really given our positions rather than taking it upon ourselves to monitor music choices. The people wanted it, we were happy to protect and serve the community. In the meantime, you will respect mah authoritah... Jane Burken singing something in French.
  5. Oh dear, there appears to be some kind of uprising here. Just you wait, sonny, until your parents here about this. You should respect Officer Joozy just like you would respect an "ordinary" policeman... Roxy Music - More than this
  6. Erm, is it not kind of obvious? Born in the USA is a very angry song, by the way. Bruce Springsteen sings for the outsider, the loser and the alienated. Like Roy Orbison did. That's why I like him.
  7. Can't beat a bit of mariachi now and again!
  8. Yeah I've never heard their version though. Calexico also covered it very recently.
  9. Cheers. I want to check them out because I heard great things about them, but Wanderlust does nothing for me. One song I really like right now is Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams.
  10. Not really. Just been listening to that one song... I'll find them on a Virgin listening post or someplace.
  11. Good point, caller. But is it then The The The? Or just The?
  12. You should tell that to the people who run their website... and The Delays sounds better. Like The Beatles, The Charlatans, The Stereophonics (god forbid) and The Tom Robinson Band... Bruce Springsteen - The River
  13. Wow, I didn't know he did one... any good?
  14. The Delays - Wanderlust... I hope this isn't the best song on the album
  15. The Smiths - A Rush and a Push and the Land is Ours.
  16. Michael by Franz Ferdinand. I've detested them sinces their not very good appearance at Glasto, but that's a bloody good tune. The kids always need a healthy dose of homoeroticism.
  17. The Cribs - You Were Always the One... sounds almost indistinguishable to Ash's poppier stuff.
  18. He's the only player we've got who would get in the England team, he's a more than decent player. Back on Subject - the World Tonight on Radio 4.
  19. Never head it, but the name of the band, the name of the album, and the name of the song all sound so very, very wrong.
  20. Sounds like a good English class. What did you make of it?
