  1. A 0.0036% possibility still happens to someone, so Suzanne doesn't come across as the sharpest tool in the box either.
  2. Guess it might not just have been Wick that would have had issues rounding up a team for tomorrow night.
  3. No expert on this but think there might be some hefty fines for not fulfilling a fixture. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/media/1814/cup-competition-rules.pdf 31. CLUB SCRATCHING OR WITHDRAWING A club which intends to scratch or withdraw from the Competition will give notice to the Secretary and to the secretary of the club against which it is drawn, at least four days before the date fixed for playing the tie. Any decision by a club to scratch or withdraw from the Competition may result in the matter being referred to the Compliance Officer (as defined in the Judicial Panel Protocol) for investigation and possible sanction in accordance with the Judicial Panel Protocol.
  4. Elsewhere: Banks O’Dee 4-2 Syngenta Blantyre Victoria 0-1 West Calder United Livingston United 1-4 Cumbernauld United So one EoS club left standing in the SJC.
  5. Was assuming it would be Wednesday. That will be some trip for Wick at two day's notice on a work day. Seriously doubt their players will have all arranged for a day off work to cover for this eventuality and will they even have booked a bus? They fully deserve that level of inconvenience by the sounds of things.
  6. Lochee United were 4-0 up against Aberdeen Uni but don't know how it ended. Edit: confirmed on SJFA website as 4-0 at FT https://www.scottishjuniorfa.com/scottish-junior-cup/results/
  7. Definitely hope it's not as bad as it sounds. Wick have to come down for a midweek replay now?
  8. Think the second one is easier to appeal based on the highlights because the ref had a better vantage point than the camera angle on the first one. On the second one the Wick player went down a little too easily and was arguably more intent on getting a player sent off than on scoring a goal.
  9. Wick (or Weak as the locals pronounce it) will be the ones doing up to 10 hours on a bus there and back on the day of the game next time around so onwards and upwards.
  10. Thomas Brown was talking about LL2 in the recent podcast where he leaked what was happening with SFA approval for the rule change that would enable a second or third placed LL club to be Club 42. This was after he mentioned that having a second automatic relegation place is seldom mentioned in LL circles.
  11. He's the main proponent of the LL2 concept so there could be some reconstruction ahead. Also suspect that this points to reverting to Version 15 being the probable outcome where the Colts are concerned (i.e. boot them out pronto rather than accept a Club 42 boundary rule change) but time will tell.
  12. Not sure if G51 is at the wind up with this no leverage angle but potentially having to at a minimum refund the OF their 50k, potentially losing out on a Club 42 playoff entry this season because Rangers B look likely to win it all at this point, and also potentially not being able to relegate Vale of Leithen for the umpteenth time if they do opt to empty the Old Firm at this point because the validity of all games played under Version 16 may be open to challenge if they revert to Version 15 a third of the way in, may be enough of a nuisance factor to make a limited number of future trips over the Tay Bridge for league games palatable.
  13. He was never going to show up for an NI centenary celebration in a CoI cathedral regardless of what was on the invitation. The only way it would happen would be if that angle wasn't explicitly stated. Somebody senior would have needed to be spectacularly thick not to realise that they don't like being referred to as the RoI rather than Ireland in official contexts. The usual work around pre-GFA was to refer to them as Eire in Gaelic instead but they eventually took umbrage to that as well.
  14. This was out a while back but better than the usual hard talk style drivel you get from the BBC where some Oxbridge type acts like he or she is on a higher plane than anyone who is from a different background from themselves:
  15. Spartans are the most likely candidate for that. 4 points back of Bonnyrigg in fourth. The other non-colt teams in the top 6, Bonnyrigg, CSS and Dalbeattie, all voted against AFAIR.
  16. Apparently Version 16 that they are only willing to sign off on subject to changes to the playoff rules that all the other parties involved want. Most of the LL now appear to want to do a U-turn on Version 16 to avoid said playoff rule change. Arguably new LL rules potentially revolving around not having the top placed team as champion opened that issue up as that has a direct impact on how the playoffs are conducted and could be portrayed as a change to the original agreement that the other parties had to approve.
