    In all honesty, he wasn't a huge loss for us at the time, he's carved out a fine career for himself but we didn't see much of it. A bit like us losing Forrest last season and then him going onto better things, as it is, we might yet get a fantastic season out of the youngster and wish we could keep him.

    No but they are worth at dabble at 66's or better IMHO. Partick are 7/2 and they certainly don't have 15 times more chance of winning this league than Ayr do.

    Don't know about that but Tade stuck out like a sore thumb as someone who could play a few levels higher when he was at Stranraer(played SPL and Europe), I don't think Shankland would allow Gregory to polish his boots. Unfortunately I don't think Shankland is going to be the only player we're sweating about hanging onto over the course of this season.

    I've not argued the relative merits of Faiss and Shanks, I just know that the Shanks I'm watching has everything apart from blistering pace to make it at a really high level, hopefully he goes down south next season and makes himself a tidy wage.

    Club just announced that 817 season tickets have been sold so far. 649 sold at this time last year. Poor, if more had watched what I've watched so far this season we'd have sold a lot more.

    I bought my 1st season ticket due to Sir Lawrence signing on, would be gutted if he went to shite like Dundee or to a negative manager such as Levein, what a waste.

    I've watched Ayr for 50 years, this boy has got it, as good a striker as I've watched in an Ayr strip. I could handle him going to the Prem but think he might head down the road next season for a decent wage packet.

    In the year or so that he's been at Ayr, the only baggage I've saw, is award after award and goal after goal.
