  1. Jamieson was came off last week after 57 minutes and was limping heavily. Hopefully he's okay
  2. Given the goalscoring phenomena that is the Tade-Jones combination I think he must think we're in the East of Scotland League U12s
  3. Nearly relegated to the Lowland League, we win promotion for the first time in a decade and the sad c*nt chose not to post until now. Obvious troll.
  4. Danny Lennon said in October he desired a creative midfielder and admitted recruitment was poor. Transfer window is over and we've only signed a right back and a 19 year old striker and lost the league's top goalscorer. Are we better off after the transfer window than we were before it?
  5. The Captain is merely a PR position within the club. Players respect who they respect irrespective of who's wearing the armband. Leaders on the field don't need to be officially designated by the club. Someone who presents a good image of the club and can string two words together will do me.
  6. Goodwillie doesn't play for us any more. Take your shit to the Raith Rovers thread.
  7. I have infinitely more respect for Val McDermid than I have for the MSP for Glasgow Shettleston who has been very silent on a certain issue within his own constituency.
  8. We knew Goodwillie had handed in a transfer request weeks ago. We knew that clubs were interested and I'm in no doubt we were negotiating an acceptable transfer fee. Why in God's name did we not have new signings prepped and ready to sign when Goodwillie moved on last night?
  9. Cove 1-1 Airdrie East Fife 1-1 Clyde Falkirk 1-1 Queens Park Montrose 2-0 Dumbarton Peterhead 2-1 Alloa
  10. Any news on Jamison's injury? Hopefully it's not the Jones/Tade combo for the near future. Three league goals between them this season. Balatoni almost has more own goals than those two combined. Perhaps, in the long run, we shouldn't be trying to replace Goodwillie directly. We simply won't be able to do that. Use the Goodwillie windfall, strengthen the rest of the squad. Rather than being a one man team we sign a creative midfielder, good attackers and better defenders. The problem is it's too late this window. It's a case of hanging on to next season and hoping our one man team doesn't plummet down the league to relegation.
  11. I'm sure Danny Lennon will be on the phone to St. Mirren as we post. Surely there must be someone left in their academy that we can sign on loan.
  12. I'm glad he didn't sign for a team in our League. Watching him play against us would've been too painful.
  13. Decent point. I'd reply by asking at what point do we stop relying on mistakes from opposition goalkeepers and bad finishing by the opposing attackers. Do we really want to be a team who create one or two chances in an entire match? You only have to look at the attendances to see that fans aren't enjoying our performances although our league position is decent
  14. Angriest I've ever been at a Clyde game. Malcolm's attitude definitely had an effect on the players that night. All were a disgrace to the shirt
  15. The Alloa commentator seemed to enjoy the Clyde fans singing "sacked in the morning" to Ferguson. Ferguson really is a poor manager and if he has any self awareness he should chuck it. As for Clyde, we're picking up points and heading for safety. Credit where credit is due, I never thought we'd be in this league position after the Clydebank debacle. The manager, his team and the players have turned it round and we're grinding out results. Although I don't believe that our performances merit our points total. We've been helped by some some awful finishing by our opponents and rely on finishing the one or two chances we create during a match. I can't help fearing a tanking is on its way from a team that has their shooting boots on. Teams are still creating many chances against us, they simply aren't putting them in the net. As a Clyde fan it's both dreadful to watch but enjoyable to leave the ground happy having stolen a point or three again
  16. Ah! But we've a competent right back now. Puts the result on a knife edge
  17. According to the BBC the wind should die down significantly to a "fresh breeze from the West" around 3.00pm
  18. Clyde 0-1 Alloa Dumbarton 0-2 Cove East Fife 1-1 Peterhead Montrose 2-1 Falkirk Queens Park 1-2 Airdrie
  19. Any rumours of signings? I don't really care if they're true
  20. Danny Lennon stated at the fan meeting that he'd like a creative midfielder. That was in October. Here we are in the arse end of January and no signings other than (Goodwillie replacement?) Jamieson. Last night, although enjoyable in hindsight, was embarrassing in performance. Right side of defence continuously ripped apart. Defenders blindly kicking the ball up field to the opposition. Not one defender had the composure or talent to pass the ball to a Clyde shirt. Midfield didn't exist. They constantly lost the ball in the tackle or misplaced a pass. Airdrie ran though them like Boris Johnson though birthday cake. And I'll not even mention Jones up front. I genuinely thought we have players lined up to sign for us on January 1st. It looks like we're waiting on loan signings that are the left overs after other teams have had their fill.
  21. What's life like after Goodwillie? With goals from Jones and Mortimer. The future is bright.
