Freshen it up with who? The squad is pish! Wilson is the only one who should be featuring more going by his past performances. I've been a big fan of Connelly but he's done very little of note when he has come on. Of this underperforming squad, who would you keep next season?

Well if you'd behaved yourself you'd still be in charge, Wullie. Can't blame Bartley for that.

Me Wullie ? OH MY LORD you’re a bit wide of the mark there my friend

Bartley now has to freshen things up as if that's what he gets when he is loyal to players. Everyone knows my feelings on Murray. But Todd surely must be close to being left out. I thought the whole midfield were poor on Saturday and Clyde bullied is all over the park. Can't rely to heavily on McKechnie and personally I think Lewis needs a rest. Paton is lone wolf up front but that's the way Bartley is playing. Logan still has to convince to soft for me. You see how well WG is playing for Annan as well. We all want the season to end but the manager still has a long way to go in my opinion. It's always everyone else's fault. Take some responsibility man you have all week with these players.

What absolute sense you speak. I listened to Bartley on radio this morning oh dear. It’s like listening to Beale, Mckinnon

EVEN got a tune from a very very poor Forfar side immediately?

I vaguely remember a number of years ago a new manager taking over at a club who were by their standards going through a really poor period. In his first few games he made little difference and a number of disgruntled fans were wanting rid of him very early on, but the cub stood by him. That manager was Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. Before anyone says anything

I'm not suggesting Marvin Bartley is the same standard of manager, simply that it is to early to judge properly.

You are exactly suggesting that Bartley is of that standard he’s had a very poor start>

Regardless of what happens, what a season on the pitch. Think it’s six times we’ve scored four or more in the league in all competitions. I’m not sure how many times I’d seen us score more than four on the road combined before that.

I was really worried about yesterday, but these lads are just brilliant and the manager is a breath of fresh air around the club. It’s been an absolute joy to watch at times.

When did QP start wearing Rangers cast off socks ?

I like Bartley and obviously hope he does well. I generally like the honesty of his interviews. He's in a fortunate position in that we aren't at any risk of going down and will be judged on how next season goes but as some have said it's not unreasonable to look for some improvement between now and the end of this season.

There was a really good interview on Football Focus this week with Paul Simpson who is again doing a fantastic job at Carlisle. He stated that no matter how "young coaches" talk about their vision for the club in reality it comes down to winning football matches. If you don't do that then you won't be around for the medium term never mind the long term.

You’re 100 % correct. Bartley is talking in riddles.

Cheers (SD) for the feedback on the manager's Q&A at the AGM.  Quite amazed that Eddie Howe is able to make time during the week (whilst managing a top 4 EPL side) for regular talks with Marvin.  I'm not knocking it though, speaks volumes for the sort of guy Eddie Howe is, that he remembers and is willing to mentor Marvin - good to hear.  It's also an extremely good, high level contact to have for Queens - wonder if it might lead to some helpful loans (I'm thinking Izzy Jones level) coming our way some time in the future?  Nice to hear something positive (including the pitch replacement) again after Saturday's downer.

He’s maybe asking your man for advice his bad seams to have a sloe puncture, big game at the weekend for him.

That’s got to be up there.   If Queens got a season or two in the Premiership the novelty of it would have great away supports there and the town centre would make millions!!

I think of Tynecastle as being a decent walk in terms of pubs and food places, never feels that far.

You’d be correct if only trains ran on a Saturday ? Sadly i think of the past

I think they do. That was gross misconduct was it not? It was not just a simple error. It has cost the club thousands of pounds, not to mention the cost and disappointment to fans and potential affect on the players.  Is that OK in your book?

There is no doubt you are correct. Someone is being payed handsomely I suggest to take care these things ?

Yes, we are all buzzing again, but it would be nice to hear what the TMWNN, think that is what he called himself on this site, has to say on the subject about the teamlines against Inverness.

Given that it is more than likely QP will top the league, what an absolute shambles/laughing stock they would be to not have a stadium to call home ?

    No.

And if it did it wouldnt be legal. There are fairly tight ranges of roll and bounce these pitches need to give to pass inspection. Raith paid extra to have green crumb instead of black for aesthetics, as we did originally though its been renewed over the years with black.

I first went to Palmerston in the 70 s the park was a joy. My first night game was v Rotherham ( managed by Tommy Doc )
