Cheers (SD) for the feedback on the manager's Q&A at the AGM.  Quite amazed that Eddie Howe is able to make time during the week (whilst managing a top 4 EPL side) for regular talks with Marvin.  I'm not knocking it though, speaks volumes for the sort of guy Eddie Howe is, that he remembers and is willing to mentor Marvin - good to hear.  It's also an extremely good, high level contact to have for Queens - wonder if it might lead to some helpful loans (I'm thinking Izzy Jones level) coming our way some time in the future?  Nice to hear something positive (including the pitch replacement) again after Saturday's downer.

He’s maybe asking your man for advice his bad seams to have a sloe puncture, big game at the weekend for him.

That’s got to be up there.   If Queens got a season or two in the Premiership the novelty of it would have great away supports there and the town centre would make millions!!

I think of Tynecastle as being a decent walk in terms of pubs and food places, never feels that far.

You’d be correct if only trains ran on a Saturday ? Sadly i think of the past

I think they do. That was gross misconduct was it not? It was not just a simple error. It has cost the club thousands of pounds, not to mention the cost and disappointment to fans and potential affect on the players.  Is that OK in your book?

There is no doubt you are correct. Someone is being payed handsomely I suggest to take care these things ?

Yes, we are all buzzing again, but it would be nice to hear what the TMWNN, think that is what he called himself on this site, has to say on the subject about the teamlines against Inverness.

Given that it is more than likely QP will top the league, what an absolute shambles/laughing stock they would be to not have a stadium to call home ?

    No.

And if it did it wouldnt be legal. There are fairly tight ranges of roll and bounce these pitches need to give to pass inspection. Raith paid extra to have green crumb instead of black for aesthetics, as we did originally though its been renewed over the years with black.

I first went to Palmerston in the 70 s the park was a joy. My first night game was v Rotherham ( managed by Tommy Doc )

I think what annoys us is not the suggestion that what QP are doing is risky and might not necessarily be sustainable. Of course it might not work.

What is annoying is the lazy Gretna comparisons. Whatever we are doing, it is a million miles from what Gretna did.

Maybe more like 100 miles ? Mind the gap ( long way down )

You don’t rate Murphy? Thought he was doing okay at Annan and getting them into the playoffs.

Annan had a horrendous start to last season until McMeniman arrived, flew to second place and then chucked it ?

lucky to be in the play offs ( although the keeper won the Ec TIE ) Bombed this season after a maybe luck league cup run. No Murphy not my bag.

Part of the problem is that our average crowd isn’t yet established. Hampden was a soulless venue. Even on a good day it was less than  5% full. We made a little bit traction at Firhill last year with crowds tipping 1000 but even then it was unclear how many freebies were being pushed around. Until we get settled, and the commercial guys get a good run at their various initiatives, we’ll not really know the potential.

Also worth mentioning it’s only the last few weeks, due to pitch results, that our fans have bought into playing in the Premiership. It’s being driven by a big thinker. Problem is our committee don’t think big. It’s exciting just now but might be very different come May. I thought the jump into this league would mean dull Saturday’s every week but it’s been the very opposite so anything’s possible. Your sums above stack up. We are stuck with leaders though who have wasted a lot of dosh and are now nervous about making any decisions. The South stand should have been built in tandem with the East stand (which still isn’t finished) but that’s now pending. The North stand isn’t even on the drawing board. We’ll probably end up with bridies instead of pies. Or probably croissants. Or mouldy Mother’s Pride.

I’m just enjoying the beautiful game for now. Thank you Mr. Coyle, an oasis in a desert of misery.

Before all the Hype, id get promoted first ? Enjoy my mob may well be going the other way.

Been a few times a pre season friendly with us in 2007 and an Easter Monday game with Lancaster City in 2018.

Last time I was down they had put new floodlights up.

Apart from the floodlights and taking the top of the stand of and putting seats in the enclosure it will be the same as the Football League days.

Anyway enjoy your trip to Dalbeattie if you go
