  1. Interesting evening, was out for a meal with Mrs Soze at the Dean Park, according to Colin Smart we are desperate to get big John off the books however he is digging his heels in over cash, can't really blame him as he has a contract with us and given his performances (or lack of them) for us is very unlikely to gat a better deal elsewhere.
  2. A winnable home tie provided we beat Linlithgow is the best we could have hoped for, Motherwell would of course be odds on but who knows. Much rather this than Lavvy or St Mirren away
  3. Not a payday but a reasonable chance to make the last 8, provided we beat Linlithgow.
  4. We need to give this guy a chance, looks like he can play in a few positions and we will certainly need cover with injuries and suspensions kicking in at this point in the season. Whilst I agree an out and out striker is priority No1 and an experienced CB No2 players like that don't come up too often. Hopefully a slightly better calibre of player around him will help to make the step up required. Good luck to him.
  5. One way to look at it - 7 unbeaten, but gutted to drop 2 points
  6. I'll play - Ayr United 2-0 Arbroath Cove Rangers 1-2 Raith Rovers Dundee 2-1 Partick Thistle Hamilton Accies 0-1 Morton Inverness CT 1-1 Queen's Park
  7. Easy for me to remember, Raith won it last year and shared with Inverness (covid restricted) the previous time it was played. IMHO it should carry a Europa Conference league spot . Being serious though I only really take any notice of this cup if we're involved at the semi final stage, the final is a great day out and yeah, get those fucking B teams binned.
  8. At half time I stuck a few quid on Connelly to score the 2nd goal at 13/2 and he takes a penalty like that
  9. I can remember being lifted over the turnstiles at Starks Park as a small kid probably around 74/75, my dad grew up a Rovers fan, he inherited it from my grandad and passed it on to me. I started going more regularly in the late 70's early 80's, one of my friends uncle was To Houston and we got comps for every home game. Went to my first away game in September 82 (still have the match programme), a 2-1 defeat at Firhill, can remember jumping around like a loony with a couple of pals when Colin Harris scored a last minute consolation, mid 80's was a dire time to be a Rovers fan but my then I couldn't help but go, you can change a lot of things in life, just not your football team when they have you reeled in.
  10. The main commentator thought the Portugal manager looked like Gordon Brown
  11. Gutted by today's result, however Aiden's 2nd goal won me £245. Was waiting on us to score a 2nd on Skybet 2+ goals market. Today's defeat is a bit easier to take for me
  12. Used a £5 free bet with Skybet on 6+ corners every game at 100/1. One of those that could go down in the 1st game or still be in play deep into the 3rd week.
  13. I'm sure Owen Coyle will be given a 'warm' welcome from the home fans. His sending off in the millennium derby makes me laugh, still no idea what it was for 22 years later
  14. Kieron Bowie on the scoresheet for Northampton, hopefully see him in the Fulham 1st team soon.
  15. I was only a few rows behind the goal when the keeper saved Brown's volley. Scott immediately shouted to him and congratulated him, great sportsmanship between opposing players.
  16. For me he did a lot of good things, passed the ball well and gave the Accies defence a lot to think about, still needs to work on his finishing but those long throws cause havoc for defences.
