    No worries.

So now we're at the point where we know which league we're in next season it's time for Punt or Keep!  Obviously some may not want to stay, some may go elsewhere, some we may not afford....

Josh Todd - keep as he seems steady enough from the 2 matches I've seen of him

I must have missed us signing Josh Todd...

I wouldn't keep Jamie Todd though. Carthorse.

So Dave’s missus is an Everton fan. This might be a good topic in its own right when we are all bored in the summer but we were racking our brains to find a link between Cowden and The Toffees. Dave’s other team Birmingham was easy Morgaro Gomis and Greg Stewart. Any suggestions no matter how random ?

Iain Jenkins, who was Danny Lennon's assistant, used to play for Everton.

Nice one didn't realise that Dave had moved back down south.

Yeah he left around Christmas time I think. Missing our drives down to the games!

To miss something, surely you have to do it in the first place? You're not allowed out to play on Saturdays!

I remember Scott having an absolutely stand out performance in a pre season trial match when Fox was manager but we never signed him then. I expected more from him when he did sign for us.  Not a complete failure, but he never hit it off the way I hoped he would.

When Scott did play for us, he was played as a number 10 or as a lone front man (like against Hearts). I think one game he even played left midfield. He was rarely played in his position of central midfield which explains why we didn't see the best of him.

It's not difficult, play players in their positions and you'll get the best out of them.

Not as a pro before next window opens

I believe to register a player as an amateur, you need to wait 30 days from when the player was last registered as a pro.

So Cove have probably signed Scott as a pro. Unless the amateur rule does apply to Cove either?

Apologies I may be wrong but it is my understanding if he were a free agent would have been eligible to sign for club 42 and above?

I think the only way round that would be to sign for Club 42 as an amateur and then he could only claim expenses?

My understand is that if he signed as a professional, he wouldn't be able to play until the next registration window opened.

It is my understanding that Jimmy Scott's contract was terminated by mutual agreement, making him a  free agent & as such eligible to sign  for any club within the pyramid system?

Which is absolutely fine. But as Cove (and all other LL and HL clubs) are fighting for a place in the SPFL, they should follow the same rules as League 2 clubs.

In that scenario, they couldn't sign Martin Scott or any other player under contract when the window closed. They have now potentially gained an advantage over Club42 who also may have wanted to sign Martin Scott.

Jimmy Scott has joined Cove Rangers

Which shouldn't be allowed. They are now part of the pyramid system and should be governed by the same rules as League 2 to stop any advantage when it comes Play Offs etc.

Not that it helped them last season. They couldn't stop Sheerin taking out their keeper for the winner. So sweet.

I did the Cowdenbeath Twitter for a while but got in trouble after we had a match abandoned against Partick Thistle when I tweeted that the game was stopped not long after the Thistle fans started singing "We can't see the ball" (we'd just scored to go 2-1 up).  Somebody complained and the club were warned they could receive a £10K fine for hinting that we were undermining the referee.  A fortnight after the match I had to retract the tweet and apologise and I haven't done it since!

    You were reporting facts.

In fairness to Deas I thought he was excellent on Saturday and got forward really well.  I'd rather he was at centre half but he did well.

He was fine but looked like a CB playing at LB. He got caught out a few times as his positioning wasn't great but that's to be expecting when playing in an unfamiliar position.

When Deas arrived he started at LB but wasn’t that impressive. As soon as he went to CH our results improved. Left back continues to be a problem position, hopefully  Talbot returns soon.

Talbot won't play again this season so may have played his last game for us.

Didnt like the shape with 3 centre half’s and we were very wasteful passing the ball.

When I saw the line up, I assumed that we were going 3-5-2 but we went went a back four and had Deas playing left back.

Deas doesn't look comfortable there at all and it shows. He's our best defender, possibly our best player so why are we forcing him out to left back to accommodate Todd (who isn't great) and the manager's son? Play your best players in their best positions.

Oh dear not good must learn to pass to our own players Cox running all over with no support .Fotheringham was at least trying to lay ball off and pass he should be teaching the rest during traing he is asst coach

Fotheringham had some good touches when he came on. Played far more advanced than I thought he would and looked decent.

Why'd Cox get sent off? What was the game like? Cheers.

Ball went out for what should have been a corner but referee awarded a goal kick. Cox let the referee know his thoughts.

Really bad performance from the officials today. Thomson should have been sent off for kicking out off the ball and Todd's yellow was a good challenge - got the ball.

Lennox shouldn't have been beaten for the first goal. It was a decent hit from Thomson but it was into the wind. Poor positioning from Lennox. Get McGurn back in.

We were poor and didn't deserve anything from the game. Didn't look like scoring.

Totally agree that he basically scored the goals to keep you in league football but it’s a tough decision for you guys as he is a passenger at mo

Jordyn only scored two goals last season - one in a draw against Stenny and one in a win over Elgin.

He was definitely a good addition to the team though - occupied defenders and took out the Cove keeper when it mattered!

Well, he hasn’t played for months so no need to be stunned.

That's absolutely no excuse. He is paid by Cowdenbeath and is disrespecting the club by not being in the right shape to be considered for selection.

I'd be happy if he was released today. He's no use to us unless he gets fit.

What do you think about Deas?

obviously he’s good for us but is he good enough to make it in the premier, and is he good enough for Celtic?

we have had Markus Fraser in defence on loan from Celtic previously, and he didn’t last at Celtic but ended up Ross county I think?

Is he better than Fraser ?

sure Iv heard it’s about 1 in 20 make it at Celtic from their youth team, tough school.

I think Deas will end up on loan at a Championship club next season - maybe a Morton.
