Arrived at 14.30 to ensure I could purchase a programme before the inevitable sell out of said publication. Wrong. The last one was sold when I was buying my 50-50 draw tickets. Hardly a soul in the ground at that time. Not a moan- observation

The club has started doing e-subscriptions this season so you can get a PDF of the programme emailed to you the day after the match. £1 cheaper and you help to save the environment...or something.

Donald Findlay has been caught up in singing sectarian songs or making sectarian jokes on 3 occasions over an 8 year period. Considering the last few pages on this thread were all about Cowdenbeath wearing Rangers sock I find hard to believe he's turned over a new leaf.

Is a Clyde fan really trying to take the moral high ground?

What was the final score please fellas? And did it prove a good run-out for the players? Although you can't read too much into these games, it would be good to build up a good steam of positivity and confidence heading into a season.

It finished 1-0 but wasn't a great game. We didn't have many chances although Jimmy Scott should have doubled our lead at the start of the great half. Good cross from Mullen, headed back across goal by Renton and somehow Scott didn't poke it in. I don't think either of our keepers had a save to make.

Talbot looked excellent and would be a great signing. Marsh looks a decent player as well.

My main issue with that team is there’s 8 of last seasons team in it.

remember we came along way from 2 nd bottom.

No way can Mullen play right wing back either. He looked a solid right back since Bollan came in though.

From the recent interviews I've listened to on the Tell Him He's Pele podcast, players REALLY like working under Bollan but he absolutely kills them in pre-season. All about fitness. Can only be a good thing.

That's how we played before when we had Renton. Awful to watch and Renton rarely achieved anything. He works hard, but doesn't win many headers and the handful he does win pose little threat.

Were we watching the same games? Renton was winning everything in the air but no one was ever running past him so he was flicking the ball on to the feet of defenders.

Renton did well for us in a very poor side.

So looks as if it will be Jim Jeffries and his wee pal Billy Brown on either side of a relegation dogfight. Say what you want about lower league Scottish football but it delivers the big storylines again and again.

Rumour is Jim Jeffries is going to take Billy Brown to Ainslie Park as his assistant.

I just made that rumour up in hope.

City Fanzine Issue Eighteen for Saturday 8 April - Edinburgh City v Cowdenbeath at Meadowbank Stadium Kick-Off 3.00pm. The East of Scotland Cup Final and East Kilbride are crowned Champions. :thumsup2 Oh! and Montrose and Spartans had great pies!

I feel that you have massively overrated Montrose's pies. After my first bite, I had to drain a shot glass of grease out of it. 4/10 at best.
