I like Harvey too, but he isn’t a LB. It was the same with Deas when he was played at LB, look at how he’s played since moving to his best position.
I disagree. Harvey is better playing at LB and driving from deep. He isn't as effectively when played at LM.

I get previous playing experience & players capabilities plays a part in choosing your players......
maybe I’m one of only a few that hasn’t forgotten who stepped up & performed under pressure in the biggest game Cowden faced to keep them in the SPL last season & hasn’t stopped showing commitment & delivering when given the chance. It should be a no brainier - has swann not proved his worth in experience & capabilities??
Does the S in HelenRS stand for Swann?

Greg definitely did it against better opposition though. Without doubt improved a lot with full time training too. I remember his first time in a Cowden shirt as a sub in the 2-1 game at Dunfermline. He barely looked like he could run. What a turnaround.
I thought Greg's first game was the 1-0 win over Raith in the Challenge Cup?
Looked like he had something about him. I'm sure he scored 5 or 6 games on the bounce that season - all as a sub.0 -

You can pay monthly and cancel at anytime (5 days before payment date to stop the money being taken off) They are offering first month free so I reckon you can get the game for free if you so wish. £9.99 a month if you don’t cancel. It’s certainly worth a phone callI think it's only free if you have Sky or watch it online? It's not free with Virgin or BT.

Genuine questions
What do you think will happen to the monies from the cup match?
Will it be used to secure the club's future as much as possible? Does your club carry much debt?
Will it be used for to fund a few seasons in the League one sunshine? The Albion Rovers model.
Have your board commented on their intentions?
Is it really THAT much money once you deduct costs and Rangers have their half?
It's absolutely a welcome boost and much needed income but I don't think we should be getting carried away.0 -

Greg Stewart recalled by Birmingham City. According to newspaper reports it’s to sell him on before his deal expires.
Sunderland supposedly interested.
Hopefully we'll make a little bit of money from a solidarity payment.0 -

No, I would play him behind the front three.
I'm glad you're not the manager.

I dont think he was actually that good so to me no even a talent. Always destined for lower league/juniors.
kal naismith has done well for himself down south and wasnt fancied at cowden by some members of the support.
I thought Campbell was a decent player but had an awful attitude - thought he was better than he was.
Naismith was too selfish. Wanted to do everything himself to prove he was worth a deal at Rangers.

Hope the board will be networking on Friday see if we can get some future rangers youngsters to cowden..... Kal Naishmith/kane hemmings all done well in their careers after joining cowden.
Is Archie Campbell still alive?

I might be totally wrong as I don’t go to their games but get the feeling the kelty steam train is not running at full speed since Ferguson became the driver?
They were level on points with East Kilbride when he took over but top on goal difference. They are now 9 points behind East Kilbride and in 3rd place.

I noticed Kelty drew 3-3 with East Stirlingshire today but Ferguson wasn't there as he'd f*cked off to play sixes for the national team that he was banished from.
Reminds me of when Jimmy Nicholl abandoned us to go and be assistant manager for Northern Ireland instead of taking charge against Rangers.0 -

It’s been posted on Twitter that Troon have announced that Marty McInally has been released and that he is set to join The Albion, any good lads?
Matthew McInally?
He's a right back but played further forward for us as well. Tries hard but the quality wasn't there - not a great tackler. Decent bit of pace about him though.1 -
Ben Reilly has signed for Albion Rovers.

If by any slim chance there are cup tickets left for general sale, anyone know when that would be? Are the five separate sale dates listed on the website just for priority sales?
Yes, all for priority sales.
I imagine if there are any tickets left, an announcement would take place with arrangements..0 -

Wasn't it the middle of January that his loan was due to end. I'm like you I would appeal that on Saturday.
Robbie's loan is up after the Berwick game.
My thought after the game on Saturday was that we should be appealing the sending off. Having watched it a few times now, I think it would be difficult to argue.
It's not even close to being a penalty but Deas does put his hand on Macdonald. Macdonald went down far too easily and no doubt it was simulation but the fact that Deas put his hand on him at all doesn't help. We would have to argue that it wasn't denial of a goal scoring opportunity and as Macdonald was going towards goal and would have beaten McGurn (next closest player) to the ball, it's a goal scoring opportunity.1 -

Cowden have such a small support genuine fans would help each other out in the unlikely event someone misses out.
I’d wager Cowdenbeath/Rangers fans from the town would turn up to one of these games if it guaranteed them a ticket, doesn’t make it right. It is also a good way for the board to promote the schemes that they run to supplement the club’s income. £10 a month gets you into a prize draw and guarantees you a ticket for big games. Seems a bargain to me.a prize draw which he's unlikely to win
Why is he unlikely to win? He's got as much chance to win it as anyone else.

This. Claiming we should get the terracing and jobs for the boys were particular highlights among some of the verbal diarrhoea being spouted.
A quick check of a few profiles unearthed some rather colourful flags too.
Some folk are simply too thick to see the bigger picture unfortunately. My favourite was a Rangers fan saying that it should be first come, first served and then asking if he gets a ticket because he has a disabled pass for the bus.

I know there's a game to be played before the post-Christmas clash, but as I'm bored, it's that time of year, and it's gone a bit quiet on here lately... Question time....
What's your best and worst memories from Boxing Day games played down the years?
I really enjoyed our 2-0 win over Stenny at Ochilview in 2011. Greg Stewart and Lewis Coult with the goals.
The weather was awful that day.

hi guys...
having provisionally agreed terms with the club/ @Blue Oktober , we're working on a few Cowdenbeath designs and expect to have these ready to go live early next week. unfortunately the huawei mate 10 pro isnt a model we support this very moment, but our product range is evolving every week. so as and when we do get them in I can give you a nudge @The Minertaur!
we will then be listing these cases as officially licensed and they will of course include the club crest. the club will also receive a royalty for each case sold!
if you've got any questions, let me know!
thanks,
Mark @NostalgiaCases
What strips are going to be available? I'm not a fan of the current strip.
