  1. Wanted more Barbie World in the film overall. Surprised Gerwig went down the route of the "George of the Jungle" bit as I'm not sure it added much, apart from introducing Will Ferrell.
  2. By a considerable distance, the best 3D film I've seen in the cinema.
  3. Can't bear the 'oh they've got momentum now', 'theres a great team spirit' etc. Especially from former professional athletes. Women's football punditry is full of it.
  4. They'd need to build a velodrome pretty quick too. Or not include cycling on the programme. Or farm out to Manchester/Glasgow/London.
  5. The Commonwealth Games European Qualifiers for 2022 were actually held on Portobello Beach. They had stands up and everything.
  6. GB News' viewer thinking of boycotting.
  7. Certainly didn't take Hampden 2 years to go from running track to no running track. Both the athletics at the 2014 games and the 2015 Scottish Cup Final happened at Hampden. If UK ends up hosting 2026, as seems increasingly likely, would be good to see sports shared around cities that don't normally get a shot of hosting international events like this- maybe gymnastics at the P&J Arena?
  8. f**k off. Preferably on a dinghy across the channel to France.
  9. I can imagine a Gulf state stepping in to host and then offering to bankroll the CGF for a considerable period of time. Perhaps even with that country being admitted as a member of the Commonwealth.
  10. Not even in the same league as Schofield.
  11. Wisest person posting on this thread by a considerable distance. Also: f**k the Sun
  12. If there was, an MP would name him in parliament. And it would be reported in Scottish papers.
  13. Ridiculous that they are struggling to complete 3 matches even with a roof on Centre Court. No idea why they don't start earlier.
  14. The days of Murray being able to compete at this level are long gone (will win now I said that)
  15. Finally a story that causes discomfort to the independence movement. It's been ages since we had one of them.
  16. Not all people who vote for the SNP (or any other party) have the same motivation. Some SNP voters don't even have any interest in independence. For some folk in Tory SNP marginals, the SNP will still be a tactical vote. If unionist voters vote along those lines then seats like Mhairi Black's are definitely in play for Labour. A 2015 type swing back to Labour in Paisley and Renfrewshire will give them a massive win.
  17. I think you are in for a massive shock in 2024. There's already evidence of this happening as the SNP vote share in 2017 being squeezed as Tory poll lead over Labour fell. 2024 will be like this on steroids.
  18. I'd suggest her local polling is telling her otherwise. What you have said above is exactly the sort of stuff Labour were saying before they got hammered by the SNP in 2011. SNP vote going to be majorly squeezed as folk prioritise getting rid of the Tories.
  19. She obviously reckons she will be emptied next year.
  20. Pretty decent start to Zimbabwe's innings for Scotland
  21. Lawrence Fox is so obviously a comedy character. How are folk take in by the charade.
  22. No-one is closing down his bank account.
  23. Political parties of all hues in Scotland, as well as our media, absolutely love pontificating about Scotland's apparently uniquely terrible relationship with alcohol. It's something you just don't seem to get in England to the same extent.
