  1. You're right on both counts, of course...put it down to brain freeze I guess. Or extreme old age, given I thought of Donald Ford instead of MoJo; funnily enough I don't remember that Ford played any more than half a season for us, so admittedly it was an odd one to pluck out the air. Think that was the year Geordie Miller's signing policy made the team's average age about 40.

Donald ford was done when he came to us just like many dons fans don't rate jim Shirra cause he was shot when he went to them ...Shirra is still my favourite falkirk player ever I've never seen a guy control, midfield like jim Shirra but then that was a long time ago
  2. on the of chance of this charlatan turning up I will be asking if the intention is now to pay of the soft loans and getting us on an even keel without the intention of selling a player every season before we kick a ball. I will also be asking how clubs like raith can invest in new players despite having at least a thousand less season ticket holders than us and haven't sold a player for anything like a hundred grand in god knows how long eta I will be stunned if ict or st Johnstone have sold more than that we are being totally hoodwinked

  3. Is Falkirk FC a football team or a project?

That's a genuine question. As the latter, they're an enormous success and as a Scotland fan, I hope there's much to be grateful for in future.

As the former, they're not a failure, operating at around, or perhaps just below, their natural level. To punch higher for a bit though, is there not a need for the circular nature of what they appear to be about currently, to be broken?

I can understand why certain fans are aghast at a crown jewel departing for something that's unlikely to make much difference, beyond sustaining a similar cycle, which takes them no further than clubs like mine that don't bother.

We have been smacked from pillar to post in the last few years but have still managed 2500 season ticket holders this year which makes us by far the biggest of the diddies.. I won't be buying one next year because i no longer have faith we are trying to build a team to get out this division
  4. I genuinely believe mcgrandles will be on to be a Scotland international cause the boy has everything he has pace ..power can pick a pass etc in the right team he could be a great box to box midfielder I just hope his career doesn't stagnate like we have seen so many times before...maybe in this situation the board should have gambled ( considering how much we have taken in other transfers) and thought with the increased spotlight in this league the guy could have made a name for himself then sell him for a much increased fee hyperbole I know but it just seems the first shake of the coin and we are right in there ..we must have taken more transfer. Fees for players than any other one of the middling clubs in Scotland Motherwell st mirren etc and what do we have to show for it f**k all

  5. I don't expect us to lose until we go to Edinburgh in the next couple of weeks.

Sevco are mince and if we can control Boyd and miller we will be okay.

Boyd has an incredible almost unnatural record of scoring against us I expect this to continue....wallace against maybury is as has been said a disaster waiting to happen ...not panic stations after one game but I'd take a point on Friday

  6. Very surprised about duffie I was also of the opinion that he was letting his contract run down as he wanted away...he really hasn't done it for about a season & a half & sometimes he got embarrasingly ripped for pace last season..accies at home and morten away spring to mind ...maybe as has been said he was left too exposed but I wouldn't think he was first choice on what we have seen although vaulks is much better in the middle than at full back. Definitely think we need another centre half cause although McCracken can stroll through it on his day he is a total chocolate soldier eta cracks & duffs is better

  7. Crunchie doesn't seem to be rated in any coaching capacity at falkirk...that may be quite right I don't know ...his only managerial experience was at Albion rovers which didn't end well although I'm sure that's a tough gig..obviously it would be great to have him in some capacity at the club but hey-ho ...I get to see him every night in my games room ....signed unique oil painting in the John weir strip which I drunkenly bought at that inchyra dinner..still my favourite bairn
