  1. I wonder if Dolan will start with the back 3 we finished with next week to give it a full test before the playoffs
  2. I think the back 5 works and you could have Fitzpatrick playing off Graham. McMillan and Milne getting forward and protected by the 3 and a holding midfielder should create more chances. The position we're in means we should have 4 games to work it out without too much pressure before the playoffs.
  3. Getting back to the OP's question the section is for the TV show and was introduced for reaction and call outs for features in the show. Looking at the first page of the section it doesn't seem to mention the podcast. If it's just the Open Goal podcast you want to discuss then I don't think that needs it's own section on the forum as there probably wouldn't be enough in it to constantly make new topics, this one you've started should do.
  4. If he only started doing it in the last couple of months then we know what's happened to the lamps
  5. I've wondered if it's a cost cutting measure to not have the big lamps for the pitch switched on that encourage grass growth. In terms of wingers what has happened with MacKenzie? He's come on a handful of times and looked decent enough taking on players. Maybe not at the same level as Fitzpatrick or Lawless but if it's not working like Tuesday night being able to bring him on as a fresh pair of legs could be the difference
  6. Great result for the women and hopefully they see sense and move to the Sunday. For the men it looks like our cup run is going to be past playoff opponents so QF: Ayr SF: Morton Final: Inverness
  7. To add to that before the cup game I would have wanted McBeth in for Bannigan but after Saturday would be very harsh to drop him
  8. Hopefully we don’t put the tunes on in the dressing room
  9. That brief cameo showed we should have McKenzie on the wing before Williamson. Don’t think he even tried to beat his man down the wing once tonight
  10. They need to get on with announcing their decisions over the tannoy like the Women’s World Cup. With the offside argument, if you flip, it would we have been happy if there was a goal given for Spain with the same margin of offside as Hendry?
  11. That is the typical pot 1 away trip we've seen before: solid performance, chances to win it then end up losing. The biggest difference is that would have seen us exit qualifying in previous campaigns, now we still have 3 chances and one of them doesn't even involve us! Just want us to qualify so would take a Spain win on Sunday but hoping for the draw for the chance we can top the group without needing favours (apart from that being a favour!)
  12. Would take a 1-0 defeat on Thursday. Spain will finish Norway on Sunday. Win in Georgia and with Norway out the running I could see Man City having a quiet word before the game at Hampden and Haaland pulling out with a "hamstring problem" and Norway don't have much else beyond Odegaard. 3 points and top of the group.
  13. I think Tories and Labour seen it as a single issue and never analysed any further. It's still a big swing for the majority to have gone from around 7k to 500 in a seat that's been occupied by a Tory forever but both parties are looking at rowing back on green policies which looks to be out of step with what most of the electorate actually want to happen.
  14. Not sure why there is shock about the national anthems being booed. This happens every Scotland v England game, both anthems are booed whether it's in Hampden or Wembley, and will keep on happening at all these fixtures. The game itself needed Scotland playing at 100% across the pitch but there were a couple of players that, it felt like, played at a "friendly" pace. A couple of tackles being shirked and concentration not fully there. Disappointing but can't let it get in the way of a successful qualifying campaign. Agree with what has been previously said about Bellingham though, looked head and shoulders above the rest on the pitch.
  15. It’s a similar template to last season’s Barcelona top, so it’s not just the financial trouble that we have in common with them
  16. Suppose it would have helped if I had read the article! Hopefully that gets confirmed then
  17. Has there been any talk in the club about opening either of the bars to show the game for those not going to Dingwall? Would be good for the club to earn a bit of money from fans and good for the fans to be at Firhill if we were to win the play-off....
  18. It's always amazed me from the club statements that she was anywhere near PR in her career. Never seemed to be able to post as the club and usually addressed any criticism that had been directed towards her in them.
  19. Every answer to the Q&A in the Aitken Suite is going to be “we can’t tell you that at the moment”
  20. Seems to have been written in the same style as the 3bc and PTFC statements but I’m sure that’s just a coincidence
  21. Looks like the ball is yet to hit him and would clear his arms. Is the rule not been amended to say something about the shirt sleeve being a playable part of the body? Either way VAR couldn't have seen enough to overturn the decision
  22. The SFA need to look at what they can do to reduce the queuing time. I take the point that people could turn up earlier but what is the point in changing the ticketing system if it takes longer in actually getting fans into the ground than paper tickets?
  23. I would recommend Grain and Grind on Battlefield road next to the old hospital or Sinclairs on Sinclair Dr, both good food and good coffee in both and about 10 minutes walk from Hampden
  24. Redhurst is a good shout although since they’ve refurbished it might be too busy on the Saturday night for a quiet one. Definitely less busy than pubs around Hampden though
  25. The irony of these people following blindly and not doing their own research to know if the BBC still own the building!
