You think? Tom Brown then.Stevie Bonar was much closer to the Flannery and Brown category than the Isaac English category.0 -
Stevie Bonar, Isaac English etcIt would need to be club legends rather than guys who played ten times over two seasons
I'm thinking of guys like Craig Brittain, Paddy Flannery (recent fb posts aside), Andy Brown...0 -
Smith couldn't be listed as an emergency loan during the transfer window, thats all

I reckon Spencer had for far, or another club lined up for a while now. In all honesty, why else would the mgr pick some of our barely fit players to start in front of him?

I seen on Twitter that Conrad balatoni has signed for the futsal team wattcell until the end of the season. Don't know if that stops him playing regular football or not...

I left that group but went back to look tonight.
It's not any better, but for me the biggest issue is that there's nothing but rumour and hearsay about the club; it's ownership and it's finances.
If folk don't know how skint we are then of course they'll assume we've got a magic cheque book that compels players to tear up contracts, that attracts the best managers, funds transfer windows and that can replace injured senior players.
But the club can't say that they 're skint and the sonstrust won't, so folk remain uninformed and ignorant.
Look around; supporters are painting the stadium, sponsors are stepping in to fund players, supporters are running fundraisers every few months and there's talk of a managers fund.
My feeling is that the trust or the club should make a statement. The actions I can take would be to pay a match ticket as well as my season ticket, to support the fundraisers and to get behind the team.0 -
The what?At least we have a couple of weeks for the changes in squad to materialise1 -
I don't think Duffy has given up on the players.
He's severely limited with who he can play and how he can alter things just now, he needs additional, fit players to get that competition for places.
If he could get a tune out of Rory Loy that could take a lot of the pressure off. I really hope he's been made assurances about this transfer window and he doesn't become frustrated.
I'm not aware of anything changing so I imagine we're still seriously financially challenged.0 -
It's the engine speed that's important if you're trying to clear out the engine, not the road speed.
I did wonder about buying a bottle of Redex and like you say, only a fiver. I did try to boot the arse out of it on the way back to Falkirk earlier tonight but with the engine malfunction warning and power drop having happened on the way back, I could only get it up to 85mph.

Played last 2 games for Morton I think.New left-back please.
Urgent
Duffy surely has a list of potentials drawn up, just hope Balls of Steele has enough funds.
eta- as above, big Robert Thomson please0 -
Yup, must follow the link to the club article before shouting my mouth off. Sorry

If anyone's wondering how skint we are, the club are now selling half price season tickets with 2 thirds of the home games remaining.
Makes you wonder about the value gained from your full price season ticket bought pre season.
Worth promoting to any sons fans who don't yet have a season ticket0 -

Aye, I think this season I've had a bag checked and been asked for a look inside the hat I was carrying which was crammed with scarf and gloves.

I think the main issue with aitken other than results was the attendances and st sales. I'm not sure the club got the pricing right but the disappointing sales despite some quality signings should have rang alarm bells.
The support in the main, had had enough of Stevies tactics. Bar 2 wonder strikes he shit fest the semi, the final and the play off final. On top of all the other cagey games against bigger, or full time clubs0 -
OK as far as it goes, but let's hope (not Les Hope) it doesn't become an SFA / Michael O'Neill situation. I trust the Board's process so I don't expect it to.
When the sfa were hanging onto see what their preferred candidate wanted to do?
My worry bead in this is the finances; Aitken will be compensated somehow, we ‘re skint already and I wouldn’t expect Duffy, Hartley or another experienced ‘prestige’ manager to be cheap.
I don’t think we’d pay compensation to get a manager from another club but from afar, Brown Ferguson and Stevie Farrell seem to be doing well.0 -
Someone should really take Allan aside and explain what kind of entirely predictable reaction stuff like this provokes on social media. What a complete car crash that group is.
I left the group too, I was getting bored celebrating bit players birthdays and then the discussions over the whole team performance issue made my mind up for me.
As others have said, our own thread on PnB has been frustrating for the last month or so too.
Hopefully the new manager will get us all going, folk will come back to games and we can move on together.

It's Tony McInally who left Pollok, not Tony McNally.
Different guys?
Edit to add; D’oh!

The annoying thing in this is that Airdrie are recruiting at the same time.
This could drag on into next week as we compete against each other to attract the best candidate.
Unless, one club makes a mess of it and recruits a diddy.0 -
Has anyone talked to the fish woman then about the interviews?

From the record article;
‘"I've got a few things still to sort out with Dumbarton but I'm now an unemployed football manager looking for an avenue to get back in.’
Sounds like he’s not been paid off fully so it would suit us for him to get another club asap. I can’t think of anything else he would refer to as still to sort out.0
