  1. Gotcha. And they were right. Apologies as I thought you were implying that both leagues had a vote at the time of the OF applying. But imo they've got off lightly by not having the OF cash dangled in front of them like the LL did and so they can take the moral high ground. Although I think they'd be in a stronger position than the LL which has never been awash with funds.
  2. Were the HL actually in the position of having to make a decision? If the original proposal was just to let Celtic and Rangers in.
  3. Shame you never met @cowdenbeath as you would have thought he was Father Abraham
  4. A big step up the table for the Welfare. Another tough game on Tuesday against another promotion hopeful.
  5. Got a visit from this guy David Bauckham when we were there with Whitehill in 2017. He flew up from Sussex for the day. A very long article and if you look closely there are one or two notorious p&b regulars in there Gala Article
  6. Banks o'Dee 1 Buckie Thistle 3. With ICT not playing, a chance for me to re-complete the HL grounds. Passed it many a time in the train. £15 return auld c**t train ticket from Midlothian. 50p added for card payment entry (why?). £2 a strip for raffles? Nae pies left before kickoff. A carton of soup £2 but it was cold so got thrown away. Weird ground, didn't like it much at all. Tucked among industrial units, worse than Cove imo. Only decent view was on the far side but the two shelters were packed and you were looking right into the sun. Buckie well worth it though, could have been more.
  7. Back in my day "dooking for chips" was the punchline to a racist joke...
  8. Aye we had one in the 70s when I was still at school. The firm was called Telebank and the man came round and emptied the meter, which paid the rental and I think my folks had a savings book with the surplus.
  9. Glesga last week. I mentioned the SLPOTY 2022 competition on Page 72 of this thread. Here's a shameless plug for the exhibition which opened the other week at Bonnie & Wild in the St James Quarter in Edinburgh. It's on for the rest of the year.
  10. TBF it's not really a very old wreck and the story is rather tragic MV Dayspring
  11. Mr Nit Picker 2.0 here: It’s spelt Scandinavian . Aye ah thought that was mibbe so, but you’ll need to ask Tottie himself. Except he’s deid…
  12. Drumchapel Utd 3 Vale of Clyde 1 in the last 16 of the South Challenge Cup at the Donald Dewar Centre. Had to be home at a reasonable time so opted for this 2pm kickoff and missed out on ICT's win at Ayr. Nae pies - was absolutely Hank Marvin, had nothing since my breakfast and a couple of pints in Glasgow, so after paying in, went back up the road to the shop for something to eat. Vale gave a good account of themselves and equalised with a good strike but the Div1 side were reasonably comfortable. Friendly people as always but an uninspiring place to watch a game and they'll probably be in the prem next season. That's me been at all the WOSL grounds in tier 6&7.
  13. Nah, beats me that one as I’ve been at both a few times. Motherwell´s another one I seem to have gained in SWPL1, I thought they played at Ravenscraig but they’re now listed under k-park. Doesnae matter anyway… Edit - @Craig fae the Vale it was East Fife, who are now playing at New Bayview according to the app, instead of some park up in Leven. I found it by a fluke as the app is sometimes different depending what device you're using and needs refreshed.
  14. Has any club in SWPL2 changed grounds recently? Futbology is suddenly showing that I’ve completed that league despite not having been at any SWPL2 games, previously it was 7/8… p.s. Craig- Might show up at the Vale on the 25th seeing as there’s £15 auld c**t tickets on ScotRail.
  15. There was Örjan Persson but he came from United. Also Thorolf Beck from St Mirren to Rangers. Neither played for Morton though.
  16. Always keep an eye on Cowden, great place to visit once or twice a year, plus no matter how shite ICT are, there's always somebody worse off. Read the Mo article this morning and just popped over here to see what people were saying about it. BTW what happened at Gretna with Drifter? Any Cowden games I've been at, to be fair, MR has always seemed non-aggressive and encouraging towards the players, even too quiet, but then you guys see it every week. Genuinely shocking if volunteers like Andy & Dave don't get a wee perk on matchdays, not that they'd expect it.
  17. Been in that old stand/enclosure a few times. Here's an aerial shot I dug up from somewhere:
  18. Gie the lad a break, it's a fair trek on a tuesday night and you dinnae get a great mileage oot a John Deere!
  19. Coincidentally, 20 years ago today. ICT 6 Accies 1 in the Scottish. Accies score in 2 mins through Bonnar but doubles from Wyness and Robson, plus goals from Ritchie and McCaffrey, see ICT through. What a team that was, our first Hampden semi, and promoted a year later.
  20. Spot on. I’ll bite. 2cup runs? So what constitutes a “cup run” to you? I’m guessing the last 8, as that’s as far as the Accies have been (3 times?) in the 30 years since ICT was formed. Yet we’ve been there 12 times, which has translated into 4 semis and 1 final. I didn’t bother checking the League Cup for Accies but we’ve been in the final as well as beaten semi finalists. In the league we were an established mid table team with 3 top 6 finishes including a 3rd place, while Accies were performing their perennial (highly commendable) escape act. We had multiple wins over both cheeks home and away and could be considered a stable Premiership club until we were royally fucked in 2016-17 by a combination of Hughes, Foran and the chairman. So yes, in the diddy scheme of things, even missing out all the crowdwanking, we’ve got a right to be more disgruntled than you.
  21. Tbf I meant the Innes but I’ve not been in on a Saturday for a while. I’m probably remembering when Colin had the place rather than Craig
