  1. Backed Falkirk in play after about 40 mins which won, was very annoyed the 2nd time trying to stick another fiver on at 16/1 when the corner got awarded that led to the penalty equaliser.  Didn't bother at the new price but probably should have anyway.

We were rotten, congrats to Falkirk. Better side won.

Should probably also thank the 17 folk over 3 buses who apparently didn't turn up at the Ship Inn - I'd been trying all week looking for a cancellation.   Was raging at missing it up until about 10 past 8 🤣.

Thought ashford did ok first half, mckenzie was gash all night though

Ashford did a  very good shift first half considering he put a sitter on a plate for Dipo and also bailed out the absolutely woeful Reading about half a dozen times.

The fact that we are having to rely on very limited left mids to do the donkey work up and down the park sums it all up though.

I don't recall many folk asking for McCall to be fired when his team had similar or worse form. And he lost to a team in tier 6

Personally McCall had a lot of goodwill banked in those scenarios for me cos his teams weren't absolutely horrific to watch.   He also lost Shankland and Still started the following season with us looking superb.  If we replace Dipo in the summer with someone not quite as good as Dipo we will be absolutely fucked.

The football is brutal though. Absolutely brutal. I can't remember who likened it to McCall's time and even suggested it was better. The football isn't a patch on 2017-18, 2018-19 or the start of 2019-20. It's utterly turgid, one dimensional pish. It's Hoppyball with an excellent striker. That's what it is. I'm fed up of it.

    Couldn't have worded it better.

I'm no Bullen fan but realistically he is going nowhere. Looking at the big picture the club will think he is doing a great job.

Will they though?  Its a big question they need to answer.  Absolutely shit fested an easy cup run to the QF then got completely out played by a side who will probably come up along with Dunfermline and be better than us next season.  Is the big picture hoping we are better than whoever stays up out of Cove, Raith and Arbroath next year plus one other?

I’m not unhappy with that- he’s actually done ok when he has started

Aye he's been playing Elgin Pollok and Cove.  As long as Falkirk don't get any corners /  put any crosses in / shoot from distance we will be fine I suppose.

He's not horrendous or anything, just don't understand why at this stage of a major tournament u wouldn't play your strongest XI.

John Grigor posted on Facebook to say that 3 seats were avaliable on his bus. Was three days ago say may now have been filled but worth a shot? It’s also leaving from Ship Inn.

ETA: Add me to the list of people still to buy a ticket. Will probably get it tomorrow at some point.

Think those are all away - my old man is booked on one of the other Ship buses that Simon organises, so I'm hoping someone doesn't pay and gets punted from that as I'd then head up with him.  Should find out tomorrow.

On a totally separate note cos I cant be arsed posting twice - my cousins husband from New Hampshire USA is staying with me for a few days - he was in club shop the other day and as a big lad was absolutely delighted with the amount of XXXL or whatever options there were - he's defo going to he representing us over there this summer 🤣

Can't really argue with that. This signing suggests that we aren't really looking to kick on in the next few years from where we are. Don't get me wrong i am happy with our current position and being competitive in this league. It just goes against the vision set out by the club and the new facilities should be open by year two of this extension

Don't agree. He's been an average / slightly above average centre back for the Championship this season, and hardly ever misses a game through injury. Also seems to be a good guy around the dressing room etc.  On the assumption that Kirk will be away and replaced by another similar loan signing / Musonda veing chocolate and inevitably missing a month or two it's an absolute no brainer to keep him IMO.

  9. Pretty poor that Morton can put out highlights that have the 3rd goal completely obstructed by a pillar, yet still be far higher quality than anything that we provide 🤣

Lovely link up play by Magiuire for 3rd, good header / rotten defending combo for 2nd, and no idea what really happens for 1st other than to be it looks like McKenzie maybe gets the final touch

    Tbh that's disgraceful from Imrie.

It's embarrassing to see someone act that way.  He's obviously got a massive amount of goodwill in the bank and deservedly so based on results so far, but alarm bells are ringing there if I'm a Ton fan about how he copes if for example you start next season badly.  Getting the fans onside by being 'wide' after a defeat won't last for long.

Being incredibly generous here but he’s possibly playing up to his thicko supporters to draw attention away from his team shitting the bed.

    Still a complete riddy.

Of course he is.  Imagine the exact opposite scenario at Somerset where ex Ayr skipper Jack Baird has scored, assisted and back pocketed our main striker. At full time Bullen runs on to the park, makes a massive show of refusing to shake Bairds hand and then hilariously "gets him telt" by sticking the fingers up at him on his way past before soaking up the applause from the fans on the North Terrace, who no longer care about the result cos of the absolute PATTER.     Diddy team

After tonight Falkirk have only really got the cup and then they need to get ready for the playoffs so I’m not sure I agree with some saying that their defeat tonight makes it easier for us. They’ll want a trip to Hampden just as much as us.

We’ll likely field the same team although maybe O’Connor in for McKenzie (if he’s eligible).

I watched the Falkirk game as couldn't get ours on IPTV.  Look tidy enough going forward but maybe a wee bit lightweight - they we're awful defending set pieces though.   Gives me a good bit of hope for Monday.
