  1. I'm going to be honest - I've seen us struggle in what seems to be a dozen games against ICT recently and cant picture Walsh. Probably been focusing on the big guys. I'm bad for that though - unless an opposition player batters us with strength or plays us off the park passing wise I tend to be too focused on our own players to nice them.
  2. Fair enough. Might have been the way you worded it. More likely it was the pints I've drank making me read it the wrong way haha
  3. Seems a strange thing to complain about though. What exactly is your issue? I've not been in for a browse yet but I've given my name to a couple of pubs so can't see any problem with giving it to Ayr Utd? Dont mean that as a dig BTW, just seems a strange thing to be annoyed about
  4. Ahhh yeah I was on the North Terrace for that one and the ball just seemed to stop in the air. But again I do agree with you - interested to see how he steps up as the errors will be punished a lot more harshly. He's already proven to be a top level Championship keeper so I hope he kicks on. He isn't coming back to Ayr anyway so it will be interesting to compare him to Robbie McCrorie who he seems to share the Scotland u21 jersey with and now both are playing in the top league. McCrorie certainly the more imposing one physically.
  5. Was that the one just after Muirhead's red card? Seemed absolutely rooted there but in his defence the centre half had just been sent off seconds before and the midfielder who had dropped back let the ball go right over his head. But yeah, you want a keeper to come and dominate that situation which is something he needs to learn. Learn from mistakes etc etc.
  6. Interested to see how Doohan gets on at a higher level. Was generally superb for Ayr - question mark for me was around his positioning at times. If he was in the right place his shot stopping and handling at crosses was spot on but every now and then would be caught in no mans land and end up flapping. As a young keeper though if he can get that out of his game he has every chance of making it to the top.
  7. Yeah it was me that had first Tweeted it and have to say the response was first class - got a DM back almost immediately and got it sorted pretty fast. My tactics of filling the squad with ex Ayr players due to lack of knowlege of Premier League squads, not so first class. Still. Is Ross Doohan getting added now that he has signed for County? I need a second keeper haha. First time i've done a Scottish one despite playing FPL for about 10 years which when I think about it is pretty pathetic - as is the mini league only having 5 teams while the English one we do has 30. Possibly my fault for only discovering this one this morning when I saw Pie and Bovril had tweeted it. Would love to see it take off.
  8. Just looking at players not getting a game for Premier teams in positions we need bodies that Mark Kerr knows well and could be possible loan signings..... Robbie Crawford anyone??? The split in the comments on the official announcement would be something else.
  9. Well yeah which is why I'm now thinking it may well be true - at the time I didn't see it as likely at all. Just looked back, was 20th June I got told. Seemed very unlikely that a regular at ICT with Premier teams after him would be coming here Haha.
  10. I got told by someone who is usually fairly 'in the know' ages ago just as he left Inverness that we were signing Walsh but then when I saw he was training with Hamilton and had been linked with Ross County I assumed it was nonsense just because he was local.
  11. Anyone else being told they didnt make the deadline and have no points this week? Happened to me and someone else in the Mini League I made up.
  12. Will be strange to see the boo boys boo Reading for the first year while comparing him to Harvie who they booed for the first year before deciding he was good.
  13. Happy with that so far. I'd happily keep everyone and concentrate on replacing the major players that we have lost.
  14. All youngsters I think. Murphy and one other who had been on loan all season and did very well were the only names. Was a bit unsure about posting it online as it doesn't seem to be official yet. One had an offer at Brechin but wasnt interested.
  15. Would we still get compensation for Harvie even though he has moved accross the border? I thought there was an issue where compensation only applies if it's a domestic move
  16. Arbroath have made a couple of signings so would that not mean Campbell must surely be back? Actually a bit of a grey area - furloughed manager who is being paid by the Govt happens to say in a Zoom call with a player and his agent that he likes him as a player, has a 3 year plan and suggests to the player they might want to give the chairman a call, does that still count?
  17. Mark Kerr is either back or is coming back shortly on a part time basis according to someone on our thread. Not sure about McArdle
  18. I had a look to see what I could see and found this from local paper in Coventry from when he signed which mentions a sell on. Sure I remember McCall saying 5% at some point. All seemed strange as we wouldn't have been due anything or in any position to demand it was added which makes me still worry about whether it actually exists haha
  19. Me and my mate were discussing him yesterday actually - someone I've always thought was pretty good but not sure what exactly I'm basing that on as have only seen him a few times!
  20. I'd definitely take Zanatta. Is he East Coast based though? Would imagine the likes of Raith would be back in for him. Keeper wise I'd be delighted to get Doohan back, and from the keepers I've seen released Jamie MacDonald would be my first pick if Doohan wasnt to happen.
  21. I especially liked the bit where someone was bemoaning the fact that Somerset isn't fancy enough to justify travelling down just to smash the place up a bit. I'm maybe biased but nothing I've seen from Lachlan suggests he has voted Hearts to be relegated simply because of the possible 'windfall'. Especially as it's offset against losing Partick who I'd imagine are one of our biggest away crowds anyway.
