I wanted Murray to get the job, but I've been very underwhelmed by the way he's gone about things this pre season, to the point where I am starting to lose a bit of faith that he's the right man for the job.
How we get on hinges on him getting these next couple of signings right. We need a forward that can make an impact at this level, but it's even more vital that we get a centre back in with some decent first team experience under his belt. This guy Nolan has hardy kicked a ball in his career. We can't pair him up with a young loan defender or the likes of Liam Dick.
Wasn't there a famous quote made a few years ago "you can't win anything with kids" all be it slightly different.
We are a championship club with an obvious reduced budget what would you expect?! I for one am happy with the direction IM has taken. The season is a marathon and not a sprint so give the guys a chance to showcase what they can do before passing judgement.
But hey it is a forum so you are entitled to express your thoughts, but I am glad we also have some positive posters in full support of IM

IM just like Ten Hag ( i am not comparing them as such) seems to be picking up players he knows or has worked with. I think this is a good call, They know what to expect from the manager and I'd Imagine will work hard for him too. I am pleased at how things are coming together.

Kyle Connoll from Killie according to the Twitter crowd.
I believe so, He was on loan at Airdrie previously scoring 6 goals in 22 games.
I also believe there may be another player to come too.

Striker still to come tomorrow!

From his interview it sounds like we have indeed signed these other players. May be some paperwork being organised in the background but we may still have an update this evening or I'd expect tomorrow morning at the latest.
My trust is still with him and I am personally glad he hasn't panic signed, bringing players he has obviously accessed himself.

Was his name not Moses or something?
Dino Velente or something like that.
Apparently he controlled balls well and Always finished in the box!

Can all money donated be on the understanding that they permanently drop their appalling “Norrie’s in a box” song when we play the Pars. Absolute embarrassingly shite patter that should never be heard at any future games. I’m all for encouraging the young fans to get behind the team but that one needs to be dropped.
No need as we will probably not face the Pars for a few years

Just a little post to wish all my fellow Rovers supporters a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

There have been more influential players and consistent players but my pick and one of my all time favs was
TONY ROUGIER
Loved watching him down the wing, he would either rip the pass out the opponent or out of himself

Yes not the greatest watch in the first half.
Lang isn't playing too bad all be it we have had a couple of dodgy situations at the back
The commentary well what can I say apart from it's utter bull crap at one point the commentator got so bloody excited that one of our players had drawn a foul in our box
"utter ridiculous" or along those lines.
I really appreciate the commentary from Raith tv so much!

Dobbie is indeed an obvious and appropriate choice.
Jim Thomson was a committed, stalwart figure, but there have been classier footballers.
Dykes is the poor man's Sean O'Connor, so the latter is not a bad shout.
If the rules enable people to just pick players who were once good and once played for their team without the two necessarily coinciding, however, then it all becomes a bit redundant and we'll just end up picking people like Harry Hood, Pat McCluskey, Neil Orr, James McFadden, Andy Goram etc. There will be plenty others who would eclipse even Dobbie if it doesn't need to be dependent on how they performed for us, as has been suggested.
Maybe this is a bit of fun, but it needs rules we can agree on, damnit.
OK rules. It is dependent on the form they had at your club.
You have to have seen them play in the flesh for your team at least once.
The choices have to compliment your current team and be implemented in positions you feel need strengthening. So for instance I wouldn't choose Dave Mcgurn based on the fact we have a strong goalkeeper in that position.
Hope this makes sense.

A topic for a little fun.
So you could integrate 3 former player from any era within the time you have watched/supported your team.
Who would you choose and why?
1. Nacho Novo. In his one season with us Nacho was prolific not only that he was a real nuisance up front too with his pace and relentlessness
2. Colin Cameron. Steely workhorse in midfield who could contribute with some cracking goals.
3. Mark Campbell. Such a presence at the back and would form a great partnership with Berra and Kyle.
Mentions...
Rougier (missed out by our signing of Ross)
Mcanespie ( wing backs are strong atm)

That takes us up to second place. Great result today. Sets next weeks game up nicely with both teams on form!

Has scored a grand total of 0 goals thus far in his career.
means nowt. it's all about Mcglynn and I will never question any signings he makes again without giving them at least a few games.

Anyhow
