  1. Not really sure what you are alluding to with the above, where did you think we should be come the end of October? Kilwinning Rangers away in the Scottish...not exactly an easy tie for any LL club, we were obviously disappointed after being two up, but KR are a good side, currently sitting 9th in the WOSPL but with games in hand, which could take them into the top 3. Poor result/performance v Penicuik on Saturday. League results have been mixed, but overall we must be satisfied where we are right now as a club, all games have been tough and the ones we have lost all could have went either way. Tier 9 (South League Juniors) to now being in Tier 5 over a seven year span isn't too bad in my humble opinion. Lie Forrit
  2. We have beanie hats and a few hoodies at the club, if your at the game on the 5th November I can sort you out then?
  3. Hi Rie, can I ask what you ordered from BE Uniforms please, I may be able to get your order sooner?
  4. The seated area is in the covered enclosure, officials will be seated on the opposite side of the ground. I wouldn't envisage you having any trouble in accessing one. Its pay at the gate, admission prices are as detailed above.
  5. Tranent.....we should have won? Based on what, apart from the first twenty minutes Tranent were very comfortable winners, and the 2 nil score line flattered the BU's
  6. Eddie May was at the East Kilbride game. Max Christie was at the Berwick game. Gareth Evans was at the Civil game, the list goes on and lets not forget Calum was at the Berwick game v Celtic B at Shielfield, did he maybe have an ulterior motive!! Your post is actually comical, for the avoidance of doubt Calum resigned from his position...FACT
  7. Every player in the squad were all the managers choosing, the remit of the club it to support the manager on his choice of players.
  8. Less than harmonious, I think its fair to say that the Tranent committee backed Calum to the hilt during his two years at the club, never once did they say that he couldn't bring a player in, he was supported in every single request. Also worth bearing in mind that circa 35 players were used least season for Calum to achieve promotion. Does that sound like his relationship was poor or less than harmonious? Was there disagreements during his tenure, of course, but nothing that couldn't or wasn't resolved. Calum moves on for whatever reason, but I can assure you the club has nothing but good things to say about the guy.
  9. CJ, you mention no charges should be made for friendlies? Do you think that clubs don't have major outlays during the close season? How do they pay for rental of facility, work on the playing surface, replacement of kit, the list goes on. Personally I think that the 99% of supporters don't mind paying for entry into a friendly, they all appreciate that without this income most grounds would be sh*t holes, without investment life stands still.
  10. Tranent Juniors FC, voted against admitting the three guest teams into the LL. Not a big secret that when we were in Tier 6 we also thought it wasn't right, that doesn't change our thought process now we are in Tier 5.
  11. Its 100% correct. As one of the contenders for the WOSFL championship has reached the final of the SFA South Region Challenge Cup, which is due to take place on the same weekend as the first play off fixture the Board agreed that the WOSFL champion will only take part in dates two and three. Why were the board so keen to make a 'random draw' prior to the winners being decided for both the WOSFL and the EOSFL on the 4th May, surely if its a random draw then all teams winning their respective leagues should have been included in the draw for the first game also?
  12. I appreciate what the rules state, but it wasn't random, how can one team be omitted from the draw for the first fixture?
  13. Unfortunately it wasn't a random draw, the LL decided not to include Darvel in the first game, therefore they were always getting the home game on the final Saturday v the EOS winners. This probably sums up the shambles that is the Self Preservation Lowland League.
  14. Sincere thanks for producing this and allowing us to use it on our SM platforms from everyone associated with the TJ's, it looks great.
  15. Totally agree, no need to encroach into the Linlithgow technical area, not acceptable. Not sure what you are alluding to Stevie.....their side-lines were a disgrace the whole night?
  16. Dave when you score with effectively the last kick of the ball that ultimately gets you a point, how would you expect the bench to react? Its a colossal point in the title race, however Linlithgow are a very good team and the TJ's know it will take a top performance on the 7th May to take anything from the game. Lie Forrit
  17. PTB, what were your thoughts on Sauchie, as you allude to they are going through a rich vein of form? It's been a strange conclusion to the season for Musselburgh, a big rebuilding job over the summer required I assume?
  18. Don't know about Dundonald but Tranent Juniors FC offered the 25k and were quickly dismissed by GF.
  19. He played first half Saturday, the week previous he was away with the family. Top boy who has been great signing for the TJ's
  20. Six goals in six appearances for Tranent, appreciate he's not playing at your level, but there's no doubt he knows where the back of the net is.
  21. Not grasping your point Slabs, the topic earlier relates to players coming in and out during this season? Am guessing the wages at Tranent are comparable with other teams in our league unless you know better?
  22. During this season players come and go, I can assure you that the TJ'S are in a plus situation as regards transfer dealings. Your comment that 'club has money to burn' unfortunately doesn't apply to the TJ's either, I would say its down to good club management.
  23. Are Musselburgh not ambitious PTB, find it really strange that numerous players are wanting to leave, is there unrest in the squad, where does the club go from here if they cant keep their best players?
  24. Absolute nonsense, your club have just paid a very sizeable fee for a player from Tynecastle who was out of contract in the summer. What Tranent do is pay what the budget allows, its a fallacy to think that they pay double what Penicuik pay their players, in my opinion the budgets for a lot of the teams competing at the top of the league this year will be much of a muchness. What Tranent have also done very well over the years is be prudent with their hard earned money.
  25. Weather/Pitch Permitting PTB, when were Musselburgh games off for waterlogging or the park being a wee bit heavy? Its one of the best parks around for drainage, be extremely disappointed if the game was off tomorrow night. Am assuming Bradley White will also be suspended for tomorrow nights game?
