  1. Forced labour for nuisances, though. First they came for the nuisances, and i did not speak out.
  2. Twitter account factcheckUK has declared Boris as the clear winner. Although it may not be entirely impartial.
  3. He really isn't and I'm willing to take the necessary tests to prove it. Whatever bile filled him didn't come from me.
  4. Bit off topic, but there was a bit of antagonism for a while between Luton and York a few years back. Some crowd trouble at the 2010 play off semifinal; 2 years later after winning the play off final, one of the York players celebrated with a little home made sign saying "RIP Luton". York's subsequent demise wasn't met with too much sympathy in Bedfordshire.
  5. Starting to feel sorry for Martin Tyler here. Poor lad.
  6. United fouls are invisible on VAR. No surprise there.
  7. I hope that was biodegradable glitter.
  8. Maradonna was better than expected.
  9. Nervously, I googled it. The official breakfast cereal of some WWE team. For once I'm not making this shit up.
  10. Yep. Last saw them in Valencia a couple of years ago.
  11. The ignoring of the Remain vote is what really gets on my nerves - it's a dictatorship of the majority as far as some Leave voters are concerned. It's ignoring the rest of the country as well. The referendum provided a mandate for leave and people who didnt vote might have to accept that a decision was made without them, but it doesnt mean they should expect this chaos.
  12. You are right - the "deal" which got the biggest ever most humiliating kicking in the house of commons history for any government, ever, and then got brought back to get the 4th biggest kicking, ever, basically deemed not fit for purpose and unacceptable- seemingly has an improved chance of getting through because the one person most closely associated to the thing and who has wed herself so strongly to it that no other approach is even worthy of consideration, says that she will go away and leave the rest of the self centred shower of sh*tes our democratically elected leaders to get on with it - IF they vote for her deal. How strong, how stable.
  13. It's missing the array of pillars that block the views from just about anywhere in the main stand at KR. And the artist's impression appears not to include the 'betrayed by the FA' flag.
  14. Initally 17,500 with the application covering expansion up to 23k. Current capacity at KR is just over 10k. Also to include a music venue with capacity of 1800, hotel, supermarket, housing, small cinema. link The associated retail/leisure development at Newlands has been a hot topic due to objections from the owners of the town centre mall.
  15. Planning permission granted tonight for Luton Town to start building their new stadium at Power Court https://www.lutontown.co.uk/news/2019/january/power-court-approved/?fbclid=IwAR1LcXzRG6i0jGO5w2K6q3kmUdU4OfdVr6U10_dT1d5zZHFr_tjy4Cji5hg Not quite finished with the planning stages as later this month the associated mixed use development at Newlands Court has its planning control meeting.
  16. Nah, considering the situation that they pulled the club out of, to where they are now, with planning application for the new stadium and other developments to be decided later this month... Losing a manager to Bet365's money is a blip...(incidentally Luton have turned down sponsorship from betting companies). Good luck to NJ when he finally takes over at Barca. Mick Harford in interim charge starting with Saturday's trip to his home town Sunderland. Apparently west Brom have been approached about Graeme Jones...would save costs on a new sign for the manager's desk...
  17. Nathan Jones has indeed gone and there are indeed some livid fans. Stephen Robinson in among those being mentioned to take over from Jones.
  18. There was the possibility that players would pick up suspensions (which could be served in league games) from VAR decisions in some games where in other games their rivals may have escaped with the benefit of the doubt. You could well argue that VAR was improving the quality of the decisions, but it was being discussed as a perceived inequality.
  19. Bernard Jenkin MP bemoaning on TV that less than 52percent of the MPs represent the 52pc that voted for Brexit. Clown.
  20. Would usually get bored by yanks complaining that the table is playing too easy...but it kinda is.
  21. American team looking better, and much better prepared, than they have for years. Europe possibly suffering a bit from the team selection method.
  22. I didn't like her much either, but now I admit I'm warming to her.
  23. Yep, he looked lost. And bemused as to where his team support had evaporated away to... fair enough for the 2 who were up next and would be on the practice table but Hatch and his captain in particular had melted away.
