A Bob sighting! Lovely chip on 11. Laird finds the green in 2 at 15. Edit: Laird 3 putts, missed a 4 or 5 footer for birdie.

Yep, I think this might actually have been the first time that the live featured groups on the first two days weren't hidden away on the red button. If you asked most golf fans to describe all the holes at Augusta they could pretty much nail 8-18, the early ones not so much. Certainly as recently as a couple of years ago your live options before 7pm were press the red button and pick either the featured groups or Amen Corner.

It's Augusta that control when they are on live, I'm sure NBC would love to be live earlier. Jammy fecker Bryson found a gap thru the trees on 8 and managed to find the green, and two putt for a birdie on 8. Rose starting much better today.

Job done for Leinster, having a week off last week certainly hasn't done them any harm.

It's much worse at Augusta than any other tourney as the club still have strict control over what they will let TV show. Come The Open Sky will be showing live golf from the opening tee shot at 6.35ish on the Thursday morning.

3 birdies and 3 bogeys for Bob thru 7 holes to stay at even par. Laird followed his birdie-birdie start with a dropped shot on 7, also at even par thru 11 holes. Bryson is +3 thru 7. Pleasing.

Defending champion misses the cut with a couple of shots to spare. Will have to console himself with being shacked up with Paulina for a couple of days before presenting Bob with his jacket on Sunday.

Watched a few of Sandy Lyle's shots, two lovely pitches into 13 and 15 set him up for birdies that saw him come back in 35. 12 over, but well ahead of Larry Mize who is DFL on +19.
