He hadn't played all that badly up to this week, he has 4 top 10s this year, he was just doing his usual of chucking one stinker of a round in and doing nothing of note on a Sunday. He has played some dreadful stuff this week, he took an iron off the tee yesterday at one hole and missed the fairway by 30 yards or so.

Just chipped in for eagle to finish. He dropped more shots today than yesterday.

Good start from MacIntyre today but he's dropped 5 shots since, going to miss the cut with plenty to spare. Laird safely in for the weekend, Knox in at the moment but still plenty of holes to play.

Final tee off time on Thursday and Friday at the Players is 2.17, sunset is just after 6.30. Absolutely no chance play was getting finished before it got dark.

Definitely, today was a day for forgetting about the flag and just play for the middle of the green. No excuse for the likes of An to miss the green twice from the drop area though.

Quite a few big names toiling, with Schauffele at +6 and Stenson at +11. Some questionable strategy from Fitzpatrick on the last 2 holes. I don't really see the point of going for a par 5 in 2 when it leaves you 40+ yards from the hole on the bottom tier of a 3 level green. He then bogeyed the next short par 4 after failing to hit the green in 2.

Robert MacIntyre was 40 (+4) at the turn, but he's picked up a birdie on 11.

Yep, dropped out of the top 10 in Monday's update. There just seems to be so many parts of his game going wrong just now, his chipping was poor last weekend, driving is usually his strength but that's erratic now too.

We are back to 4 balls from Saturday. I've come to the conclusion that a lot of my fellow members are torn faced c***s. Saturday and Sunday were already fully booked with 2 balls at 5 minute intervals, so the committee decided that rather than cancel the full sheet and start again, they would just join pairs of two balls together and keep them as close to their original time as possible at 8 minute intervals. Sounds fair to me, yet some folk are moaning that they will be in a 4 ball with folk they wouldn't normally play with. Arseholes.

Not the first time an internal OB rule has been introduced, I can remember it at the Open one year, Play on the tour is slow enough without folk having to wait for the fairway on a different hole being clear for them. Robert MacIntyre had a go at the shot Kuchar had to play on 17 a few years back.....
